Question about Sanyo Televison & Video
This message signifies that the sensor from the reading head of the player does not detect the reflected laser beam. If you are sure that the disks are ok then the sensor and the lens above it are covered in dust.
If this isn't a long standing problem then the dust can be cleaned with the help of one of those special cleaning disks that you can find in every electronics shops.
But, because the lens is made out of plastic, if you have left this dust in place for too long then it has been baked on the surface of the lens so the cleaning will be too little, too late. This dust cannot be removed so the entire dvd mechanism is defective and it will have to be replaced by a repair shop at a great cost.
