Although it is called dual line, only one line is used - except that you use both ends of the line. Cut off as much line as you think the spool will hold. Put the two ends together to find the center of the line. Some trimmers have holes to thread the lines through and others have a place to hook the bend at the middle of the line. if yours has threading holes, thread one end of the line through each hole and then pull on both ends until the bend of the center of the line won't allow any more slack. If your trimmer has the place to hook the bend, hook there and start winding the lines in the direction shown on the spool. Be sure one line is on one half of the spool and the other line on the other half. Wind both lines at the same time as smoothly as you can. When the spool is full, insert the loose ends through the trimmer head, insert the spool and pull on the strings. Hope this helps Tim

Yes, there are several after market spool feed heads at most home improvement stores. Make sure you write the modle number of your trimmer down before you go looking. Oregan has some very serious heads such as the speed feed, and the metal brush cutter heads, but you have to order them through a dealer.... A bit pricey, but worth every penney!

Need to replace the wirefeed? Purchased 8" orange

Hi gramcherry1...

1 Press the lock and rotate the spool counter-clockwise or some will remove the center knob.
2 Remove the locking ring if your weed eater has one.
3 Take off the automatic feed button.
4 Wipe away any dirt and debris.
5 Push down on the spool to release the locking tabs.
6 Remove the spool from the chamber.

Restringing the Weed Eater
1 Feed one end of the line into one of the holes of the spool, and secure the end that was inserted
2 Wrap the line in the direction of the arrows. Do this until until you fill the spool up with line.
3 Secure each of the lines into its own upper and lower grooves.
4 Re-install the spool into the chamber from which it was removed.
5 Pass the lines into the left and right holes and snap the spool into place.
6 Once the spool is in its sleeve and fed into its left and right eye holes, pull both ends simultaneously.
7 Reinstall the locking ring if necessary, reinstall the center knob.

My Craftsman 17cc gas weed trimmer wouldn't start.

Hi There, Check the primer bulb for tare or pin holes. Replace it. Check and clean carb jet it maybe plugged with debree. Also check for spark which you didn't say. Replace with correct plug.
Note; Do not use strong cleaners on rubber seals (O rings and gaskets) They dry up and crack.
If needed use a dabble of grease on seals

Repairing fuel line on craftsman 32cc weed trimmer.

Cut the end of the line at a sharp angle. Spray WD-40 on the line and fuel tank hole. Slowly screw the line in the tank far enough so you can connect the fuel filter if you are replacing that line. If not just push the line into the tank if you have a two line system. Remember on the fuel primer, the long tip has the line going to the tank, and the short tip has the fuel line going to the carb.

Need diagram on fuel lines on a 26 cc craftsman weed eater

The longest, and sometimes smaller in diameter of the two fuel lines, goes from the carburetor to the bottom of the tank. Leave enough slack in this line so that the filter that attaches to the end will rest comfortably at the bottom of the tank.

The other fuel line goes from the primer bulb to just inside the tank, (about an inch). make sure that you get the right size fuel lines. The plastic coupling goes on the end of this line, inside the tank. This keeps the line from pulling out of the tank.

(HINT): When feeding the lines through the tank holes, cut the lines at an angle. They will feed much easier into the holes. You can than cut them off square, once you know that you have enough to work with.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

I have a 32cc crasftzman weed wacker need how to

This can be a little tricky, the filter is in the tank connected to the line. The line is pulled through a hole in the tank which seals only because the line is the correct outter diameter to seal the hole and not collapse the interior. Fuel line and filters are available at most places that carry outdoor power equipment parts but you must make sure the line is the exact size inner and outter as the original.
If the trimmer has a primer bulb the line goes from the tank to the bulb and then to the carburetor, a second line goes from the carburetor back to the tank, don't get them mixed up.

Dont know how to install new fuel lines on craftsman weed eater 32cc

Hello:

The Following is a Basic Instruction File I made for Replacing the Fuel Lines and the Filter on Chain Saws and Trimmers. Any Input is Appreciated.
>>The Fuel Line is Pushed and Pulled (I Use Long Needle Nose Pliers) Through the Small Hole Until the Hose is Out the Fill Hole about a 1/2".
>>You can Also Use a Coat Hanger with a Small J at the End to Hook the Filter in the Tank and Pull the Filter and Hose (if Detached from the Carburetor) Out the Tank Fill Hole Enough to Replace the Filter.
>>Then Attach the Filter and Pull the Hose Back Until the Filter Lays at the Bottom of the Tank Just Below the Fill Hole (or so it is in the Bottom of the Tank and will Rest in the Fuel Mix when Turned at Common Angles the Unit May be Turned to During Operation.
>>**Hint: Use Plenty of Spray Lubrication at the Small Hole as you are Feeding in the Hose. It Slides Easier.**
Hope this Helps.

Good Luck

Respectfully

John

Ryobi weed trimmer

I have one of this trimmers. It is simple to replace the line.
-First line up the arrows on the bottom of the spindle.
-Then feed the line back in one of the holes in the side of the spindle (this is the same hole that the cutting string comes out of).
-You will see the line come out of the bottom of the spindle.
-Take that line a place it in the hole on the bottom of the spindle.
-Leave about 9 feet of string hanging out of the weed eater (do the same with the other side).
-Then turn the inside wheel (I can't remember if it is clock wise or counter clock-wise but it will only turn one way) most of the string is rolled into the spindle.
-Cut the string of about 5 inches out of the weed eater. You're ready to cut!
