Make sure that your unifram is installed with the opening in a vertical position. If it is horizontal, you pool cleaners line will not have proper suction. You will also want to check for obstructions in the flapper that would cause the cleaner to not move properly. Finally, make sure that this is the proper cleaner for your pool size. If you have an in ground or very large above ground pool, it is possible that the pump you are operating with is too strong for the cleaner to move properly.

Dirt devil turbo clean sd40060 Cyclonic vacuum. Was given it as a present. Floor tool won't spin. Checked everything! Belt, for hair through out. All ok. Why isn't it working?

You should find a large button or flap on the floor tool. This is usually spring loaded and needs to be OUT. This should then let air in to drive the turbine which drives the spinner.

Can't get dirt devil to go

There are several things to check if this type of automatic pool cleaner stops moving. It is typically a blockage in the flapper area. Turn your pump off, remove the cleaner from the pool, and turn in over to view the flapper. The flapper should move freely and their should be no obvious stones, twigs or other debris clogging this area. If you see debris and can't remove it with your fingers, remove the base plate (plate where the debris goes when vacuuming). Using a small flat headed screwdriver, push on one of
the two tabs located on the side of the base plate. Release the plate and remove the flapper. You can then clean it out. You should also check your skimmer and pump baskets and empty them if they are full.

Brand new dirt devil will not make connection with the bottom of the pool

Check to make sure that the pool cleaners flapper is installed properly. If it is installed incorrectly or has debris lodged in the flaps, the pool cleaner will not be able to create suction on the bottom of the pool. Also, check and make sure that you have enough water pressure to power your cleaner.

Too much suction does not move around pool seems to just **** to the bottom. have cleaned all leaves out of filter. makes the water exit area to the filter vibrate

It sounds like you could have an obstruction in the hose. Check the entire length of hose from the pool filter to the pool cleaner and make sure that nothing is causing a back up of pressure. If you don't see anything, it could be that this pool cleaners not compatible with a pool pump as strong as the one that you have.

Dirt devil pool vacuum wont move

If one of these pool cleaners is not working, you likely have an obstruction in the flapper. That would explain why you have suction and no movement. With the pump off, turn the cleaner upside down and check for any twigs, rocks, etc. in the flapper. If you don't see anything or see something you can't reach with your fingers, remove the base plate with a flat head screw driver and check there. The base plate is where the waste is collected.

Sticking solid to the bottom wont move.

If you have to much suction This can keep the cleaner stuck in one spot. Once the cleaner sticks to the floor the flapper won't move because of low water flo. If the cleaner only sticks when it hits the main drain then you still have suction through the drain and need to shut it down or plug it off. The suction from the drain and the cleaner suction will cancel each other out and cause the cleaner to stick to the drain. A main drain is a misnomer it is properly called a deep suction, as it's job is to collect heavy dirt. The cleaner is a roveing deep suction and replaces the main drain. So you no longer need it and can feel free to plug it if you have to. Good luck.

You can buy replacement rubber threads for this model from any store that sells automatic pool cleaners. They are easy to install and the instructions should be included in the packaging. This is something that you should easily be able to handle yourself.

Cleaner is not picking up debris from pool bottom

Have you check the filter/baskets to make sure that you don't have a large piece of debris that is preventing suctions? You will also want to check each section on the vaccum systematically to make sure that there are not cracks or noticable areas of damage that would prevent the pool cleaner from working. Is is not moving at all or just not sucking properly? Can you give me more details as to what it, exactly, it is doing?
