SOURCE: I have an error code

I am experiencing the same error code on my American Standard AC and according to Public. #18-HD32D2-8, error code 126 is in the Equipment Change Alert Group and the description says "Equipment does not match value stored at startup." Then, in a footnote, it says "A device has changed since Auto Discovery (See Installer Guide *S& 0706 to reset)."

This is all Greek to me so I'm calling my AC guy. I can tell you this, however. I bought an American Standard AC brand new just two years ago and one year ago exactly, it blew up. American Standard replaced it. Now, one year later, more problems.

I question the quality of American Standard and would not be inclined to buy this brand again.

Error code F06 E02. What does that mean?

The F6E2 error means that the CCU (central control unit) and UI (control panel) aren't communicating properly. This could be the result of a problem with the wiring or with one of the two parts. You should check for continuity in the wires and that the wiring harnesses are fully connected. Next make sure that the control is getting the correct voltage from the power supply. You'll need to unplug the washer and access the top panel from the back before doing the tests.

I hope this helps. If you add a comment with the model number of your washer, I may be able to provide additional assistance. If your washer is under warranty, contact the manufacturer.

I own a whirlpool washer model WTW6300SW Cabrio and I am getting an error code F1 and need to know what to do?

The F1 error means that the control board isn't communicating with the rest of the washer. Try unplugging the washer (or flipping off the circuit breaker) for at least 15 minutes to reset the unit.

If the error persists, you probably need the control board replaced. Appliance Parts Pro has the control board here: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-elecronic-control-board-w10189966-ap4360738.html . When you pull the control board, check the wiring to the other parts of the washer.

Of course, if your washer is under warranty, contact Whirlpool. I hope this helps.

Washer will not run

f06 OR e02 error code means you have an interface communication error. the main control board isn't communicating with the front interface control board. if you pull the washer out and remove the 3 screws coming in from the back of the top panel. the top panel will pull straight back, up, and off. check all the wire connections between the two control board and make sure they are all secure. if everything looks good, then the interface control board may need to be replaced.
f01 e02 means that your motor control board is not reading the tachometer on your motor when it tries to turn the motor. it thinks that the motor is struggling. open the door and turn the basket to make sure it spins freely.
