When I'm told the system was not turned off correctly press ok then the screen stays blank

You corrupted your settings. Turn on the Ps3 let it power cycle, once you get to the blank screen hold down the power button until it beeps 3 times (about 25 secs) Your ps3 will shut off( note: if you have HDMI only, plug in your RCA connections as this will reset your ps3 display to analog) once you are back at xmb, plug in your HDMI and go to display settings and select HDMI. Always let your PS3 do its thing before shutting it down, its equivalent to unplugging your computer instead of logging off correctly.

My screen stays blank when I turn on. Lights blue and green come on but screen stays blue

If your display settings aren't set to automatic this can occur. Example: if you have set resolution to 1080i and are trying to play it on a display that has 1080p you will get a blank screen or no signal message. you will have to connect your PS3 to the last display you had an image on and change the "display setting" to "automatic" for your PS3 to work on all displays. when you choose a specific resolution to the "display settings" it will only work on that specific resolution. hope this helps.

Cant hook up HDMi cabe from PS3 to JVC

1. check the input that the PS3 is connected to
2. select that input on the TV
3. Press and hold the [power] button on the PS3
4. perform the video setup for the PS3

My guess is that you don't have the HDMI setting correct on the PS3.

THE PS3 SCREEN STAY BLACK EVEN WHEN THE CONSOLE IS ON

Hi, I can help you but i need you to turn everything on and at that blank black screen insert any Disc wait like 2 seconds and tell me if the top right hand corner if theres a small loading icon looks something like a water drop ripple that pops up. If so i had the same exact problem, they way i fix mine is I replaced my HDD (2.5 SATA drive) which is located on the left side of the ps3 when layed down horizontally if you didnt know already. I went ahead and bought a new 2.5 SATA drive and replaced it with my old one that was causing the problem, most likely is caused buy corrupted data files. HOpe this helps

1 - Turn on TV and set input to port being used.
2 - Make sure PS3 is connected via correct cable.
3 - Power on PS3 via power button and HOLD IT for 5 seconds (release after the second beep). It should automatically configure your PS3 to the TV's native resolution for all settings.

Cant acess ps3 Xbar menu, still plays games

it sounds like you haven't set the display settings correctly. turn off your ps3 and try using the red, white, yellow cables (make sure everything is plugged in correctly). if you get a signal, then change the display settings to whatever connection you will use.

hope that helps
