Question about Toshiba Satellite A15-S127 Notebook
There are three possible reasons for that.
1. it's overheating. Feel to see if there is air moving out of it (when it's running) and if that air is hot. Also see if the bottom feels hot (it always is warm but shouldn't be hot hot), or if it feels hot around the touch pad then it is definitely overheating. Lint, dust, pet hair etc gathers inside and blocks the fan. The CPU has to have air movement in order not to over heat. If it's hot it needs to be cleaned out which is something that has to be done very carefully so as not to burn out the bearings of the fan nor push the dust in further.
2. The power adapter could be bad. They do go out. To replace one make sure it is matched to the one you have, for that model. Not all adapters are the same.
3. It could be the battery, tho with a toshiba is will run plugged in on a low battery.
Toshiba "A" series were notorious for overheating due to the way they were made though the A-15 is not one of those with the problems that way. (There was a class action suit over the earlier "A's" because of it. But the most likely reason for shutting down like that is over heating...
