What shuts off the heat or the dryer?what kind of dryer and what's the model number?i can tell you that if it runs and the motor shuts down, after sitting for a while it will run again and do the same thing you most likely have a bad motor, there's an overload that pops if the motor is running to hot then when it cools down it resets itselfbut next time send the brand name and model number.

Trouble with Maytag Legacy gas Dryer

Please provide the model number and I will see if I can figure something out.
It sounds like you have covered the common problems. Usually a motor is the cause for this problem, it gets hot and shuts down until it cools off. I have had some problems with the auto dry controls on the Maytags also.
Are you equiped to do some voltage checks if we need too? This would help in knowing where you have power when it quits.
Thanks/Mike

Bosch Axxis WTE86300US turns itself off after ten minutes, won't turn back on for a few minutes after that

I would bet you have a bad sensor. There are a couple of sensors that monitor heat. When it gets too hot they shut it down as a safety precaution. Once it is cool enough it will start up again.

Kenmore series 80 heats and turns fine but stops after 30 minutes or so at any heat setting

Does it restart after it cools down? If so your motor may be overheating and shutting down.

The dryer turns on, then drys for a few minutes, then shuts down

this is either a fuse ,relay or heater problem your best to call for a technician unless you can measure continuity between each of these with the power off .90 % of the time this is due to a build up of lint inside the dryer

The hot water shuts down for a few minuts then

your unit is undersized or you do not have enough gas supply to run the unit properly.
If you have to many water features running or you have to many gas items turn on at the same time it can cause problems.
