You are really not connected as the software lies to you. Please try and follow the detail listed below.

It is looking for apassword (WiFi Network Key) You have to double click on the little computericon down in the right tool bar area, the one with the two side radiating arcs,and possibly has a small red X under it. The red X indicates that it is NOTconnected. When you double click on that icon a window called RT28701 opens up,then you click on Wireless Information tab, then you cursor down to the name ofyour WiFi and high light it and click the connect box. Then another windowopens up called Network Properties. Uncheck "The key is providedautomatically" box. This will allow you to type in your "NetworkKey", the password that protects your network from outsiders. This"KEY" was set up when you installed the router on your servercomputer. If this does not work at first, turn the machine over on its back andusing a toothpick, insert it into the little hole about an inch diagonally fromthe right corner of the data plate, this will re-load a new copy of everythingincluding the WiFi RT28701 driver. sometimes thisdriver gets confused. See my TIP at: http://www.fixya.com/support/r7350901-fix_synet07526_wifi_flashing AdditionalInformation When I try to signon with the red X showing, I get "The page cannot be displayed If I thendouble click on the icon down in the right corner I elucidated above, RT28701opens up to "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) with all zeros in the IP addressfield, and Subnet Mask, with no entries in the default gateway. That is a clueto me that the automatic sign on has not found a viable network, or needssomething else. If I then click on Wireless Information tab, the list ofavailable networks, appear in the box. The machine keeps trying to associate myprevious entered name site with my preferred site and tells me the signal isgood, but it cannot link up. This is a signal to me that it has lost my NetworkKey or that the softwarehas failed or both. I then click on advance and delete my preferred network andhit OK, this will force the software to ask me for my network again, and noticethat the preferred is missing. I click on the name of my network again and thenhit connect., then the Wireless Network properties window opens up and I caninsert my Network Key again after I uncheck the "The key is providedautomatically" box. I enter the key and hit the OK button. I still do notget a connection, so I reboot the machine, and wait for about 30 seconds andthe machine synchs up because the little RED X under the icon has disappeared.Now the machine will hook to the internet as long as I want to, but sometimeswhen I turn the machine on it will not synch, so I go through the abovesequence again. The secret is once you have entered your key and ask for themachine to synch up you have to reboot. Why? I do not exactly know, but Isuspect that the WiFi driver looses it You may also wantto look at the TIP http://www.fixya.com/support/r7679654-sylvania_syneto7526_wirless_keyboard To make your knowledge complete

Have you tested that you have an Internet connection? Have you tried with another web browser that you can access Internet. If you have an Internet connection maybe Chrome is in off line mode. Try to uncheck it.

I am trying to connect to the web with my new sylvania ce netbook and it has the right password in it I click the internet icon says connecting the shows up unable to connect. Can you help me or should I...

Using the Personal computer to arrive into network requires turning on the device that would have a password to display the system windows. After the computer turns on though would have required a computer user password or possibly not, locate an internet explorer icon whether example; google, mossilla fox pro, chrome, netscape, internet explorer, are just network interface where network features would show up on. 2. clicking on the internet icon should require a password if built to require user pass before joining a network. 3. The password would possibly been disabled in some instances, where for example clicking on the internet explorer icon should simply display a page welocoming the network required. For example, if the internet explorer icon is clicked showing display page momentarily, then www.Google.com is typed in the search space of the page displayed, a connected network should show another page displaying the features of the page or site google show mometarily after search space has been click. An unconnected network would always display a message or network unavailable or internet not setup and requiring establsiment. The most situation would be a message communicating the cause of network malfunction. if the computer has a network subscription plan, for example a provider that has promised to network the computer in question for fees, where would have provided the computer user an installation kit either software to install on the computer to be linked to a network. The computer with networking defaults would turn on completely only after which just cannot network into another setup when a page is clicked onto it. Simply, ask your network provider for further assistance.

The following are network providers to contact for subscription and technicallities involving computer telecommuncation.

Cricket wireless services
AT & T wireless services
T-Mobile wireless services
Verizone wireless services
Pocket commication services
Trac wireless services
Boost mobile wireless services

Visit any locations to inquire about networking functionalities to phones or computers or contacting online by email or phone with questions of connectivity

SearchSource=10&ctid=CT2269050 Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): Unknown error. wat to do????

Webpage display issues: "This webpage is not available" (Network errors 2, 102, 104, and 105) Issue This message displays when Google Chrome is unable to find and load the requested web page.
Solutions Check your web address and Internet connection Double-check the URL in the address bar to make sure you're going to the right web address. If you've confirmed that you're going to the right web address, check whether you can open the same web page in another browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. If you can't see the web page in any browser, the web page may be temporarily down. You should also make sure you're properly connected to the Internet.
Check the error you're receiving If you can load the web page using another browser, but not Google Chrome, check the exact error you're getting by clicking the More information on this error link on the page. The rest of the solutions listed in this article are relevant if you're experiencing any of the following errors:
  • Error 2 (net::ERR_FAILED): Unknown error
  • Error 104 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_FAILED)
  • Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED)
  • Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED):

To disable the proxy run this from the command line or modify your shortcut to run chrome:

"C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USER NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --proxy-server
See here: http://tiny.cc/A2tST

Encountering this problem following your first restart after installing Privoxy (which requires changing G-Chrome's proxy settings).
If, after installing Privoxy, you elected not to have it load on system startup, manually re-loaded Privoxy. Simply reconfigure Privoxy to load on startup and the problem should be corrected.
