Question about ASUS Motherboard P5qc
In my experience, this is often caused by bad memory. To test this, from a working computer, download Memtest 86+ and burn the ISO to a CD with a program like ImgBurn. Then, boot from the Memtest CD. You can try testing one chip at a time to narrow down which one is giving you errors - just remember, if you find one, the other might still be bad, so test it too!
If there is an error, Memtest will display the failing memory address in red. If the tests all complete with no errors, it will repeat the tests from the beginning, however, it will say "Pass complete, press ESC to reboot" or similar on the bottom of the blue testing screen.
Also, this could be caused by a bad power supply. Try using a known good power supply with the board.
As well, make sure that the screws that hold the board to the case (chassis) don't have the non-metallic washers in between them and the board if the hole in the board is metallic. In other words, if the hole has metal that can contact the screw, it NEEDS to have the screw contacting it for a ground. If there is NO METAL on the hole, you can use the non-metallic washers.in between the screw and the board.
You may also have a problem with the CPU having an incorrect amount of thermal compound between it and the heatsink - it should be a very very thin coating over the entire surface that you can almost make out what the words on the CPU say.
If it still won't work, the problem could also be caused by malfunctioning components - try removing them and plugging them in one at a time (CD, hard disks, USB devices etc - use known good replacements).
Lastly, the board itself may be defective. See if you can contact the manufacturer for a replacement if it's under warranty. If not, maybe you can find a new one for cheap on ebay (make sure the seller has a high number of ratings and a high percentage (95% plus at least) of them are positive.

This is Asus's download site and it looks like it supports Windows 7. Your info is there just choose o/s. No on board video so you must have a graphics card or eqiuvalent. Sockey 775 Intel p45 and ICH10R chipsets and Realtek ALC1200 audio. Give me the make and model of your video/graphics card and I can help you with that. It very weel could be the graphics causing your problem.
