all new venting wondering if the dryer has a automatic shut off because we ran it with the wrong gas the first time

If you started the dryer for the first time using LP, and the orifice that was already installed in the dryer was for nat. gas, you might have tripped a sensor down by the burner. Some dryers have manual reset heat sensors . These are usually about the size of a quarter with two wires running to them. The reset will be a small button on top of the sensor. These sensors are triggered due to flame roll out which could very well have occurred when you first turned it on using LP

Brand new dryer wont heat

depending on which model roper dryer it can be a thermal fuse,high-limit thermostat, cycling switch, burned off wire in control panel, check each side of the heating element to ground and find 125 v.a.c. then on the side of the element that has low or no voltage on it to ground start at the element and back track the components leading to the dead leg on the element till you find 125 vac to ground and replace or repair component or wire, then you should get 240 to 250vac across heating element terminals

Hello my name is Heath it will be my pleasure to assist you. I would check the vent hose behing the dryer and make sure it is not clogged and also check the outside termination for being clogged up with lint and hair.

New Whirlpool Duet gas dryer (wgd9300vu) won't heat.

if its brand new,
anmd its gas, well then more than likely it was dropped, when it was dropped the graphite ignitor craked or broke due to shock impact,
i delivered units for 5 years and saw this numerous times.
I would tell you to fix it your self, but its brand new, if the company you bought it from has service they should give you a free service call and part

My dryer will not heat up

You don't wan't to mess with this. Its probably something small like a defective thermopile, but repairs around the gas valve should be done by a professional. The thermocouple and photocells are safeties.

Whirlpool Gold Ultimate Care II: No heat

didc, on a gas dryer, if the thermal fuse blows it will still rotate, but will not heat. Since this is a gas dryer, see if the ignitor is glowing. If it is, then you know the thermal fuse is good. If not, the thermal fuse may be blown or the ignitor itself and thus the reason for no heat. Catriver.7152136.jpg
