There are a couple things to check with these pool cleaners when they stop moving. Use Pool Pulse to insure proper flow through the cleaner. Clean baskets and filter to ensure that you are not clogged. Check hose sections for leaks by lifting each section above water.

Zodiac G2 Cleaner not moving around pool. Suction is adequate, filter has been backwashed. Cleaner pulled to pieces and reassembled. Has small crack in diaphram. Unit is 6 months old and has problems the...

any damage to that diaphram will cause the cleaner to not work. If it is only 6 months old then it is under warranty. any pool store should be able to get you a new diaphram at no cost. bring your paperwork with you to show proof of purchase.

Baracuda G3

Check your pool cleaners hose to make sure that it is not becoming tangled. Storing the hose in a coiled position will cause this. If it is not moving and it is not the hose, you could have a leak in a connection somewhere. If the cleaner is getting adequate suction, it should be moving. Try adjust the hose weights to make sure the cleaner is at a 45 degree angle to the pools floor.

Has good suction but wont move

Is there a tile stuck in the condom shaped diaphram when you look into the cleaner from underneath. Could be any kind of rubbish make sure you look deep inside as debris gets stuck right at the top.
This diaphram is removable check also that it does not have a hole in it.

No movement with my g3 baracuda

A small rip or tear in the diaphragm will cause that problem. When you put your hand over the mouth you are creating more suction to the diaphragm. Replace diaphragm.

My baracuda G3 stop working is not pulsating and therefore not moving. I checked the suction and the hoses even the diaphram everything looks ok.

If you have suction at the bottom of the cleaner, there has to be a problem with the diaphragm. I would remove it and recheck.

Should there be a hole in the side of the G3 diaphram?

no, a common place for cracks is near the top next to the plastic ring that holds the diaphram to the tube. this is a common problem with the G3 and G4 diaphrams. other cracks and holes near the center are usually caused by objects that get picked up and stuck or old age.
too much suction and/or use will shorten the life of the diaphram. along with bad water chemistry

Bara-G4 does not move. I have checked hose, diaph.,rings have lubed, new filter, low water pres.

there are a number of things that can cause your G4 movement problems. First your should make sure you have enough suction at the end of the hose. Your G4 should have come with a device that measures the amount of suction at this point. if your suction is low you need to determine why ie: dirty filter, clogged vacuum port, bad hose, or your suction valves are not adjusted properly. you can also have too much suction. if this is correct and your diaphram is good,(inspect the top near the plastic ring that holds it to the tube. This is a common place for wear). then make sure the tube is not cracked. Also the G4 has a problem with the foot flange wearing out and getting loose. this will also cause movement issues .

G3 is not moving, but has suction? Please advise.

I had the same problem. come to find out there was somehting stuck in the diaphram. (a piece of mulch). Once I removed it, everything worked fine. Take your Barracuda apart and check the diaphram for blockage.
