If the vinegar doesn't work, try the following: spray with WD-40 and let it sit for 30 to 60 minutes then try to pry off while turning counter-clockwise. If that fails get a bottle of CLR cleaner and repeat the same process as with the WD-40.

How do i remove the cover from the limit thermostats? do i pry after removing the screws?

Not pry but pray. Because if you open the cover, you will be exposed to connector with high voltages. If you have to ask this questions, you better leave this to skilled and authorised persons. Even if you manage to open it and replace something, what will happen if you try to switch it on?

If you still insist in doing it yourself, try, because they have tutorials and video's about lots and lots of repairs. Perhaps you find your heater there too?

No hot water

Check two things, 1- check that the hot water heater bypass valve is completely closed so that it is not bypassing at all and mixing cold water . 2- check your outside shower valves, make sure both of those are turned off...if they are turned on but the valve on the head is turned off...this will also allow cold water to mix in the hot water line. If those check out ok...then the mixing valve is likely clogged, you could take it off and try soaking it in boiling white vinegar, or try to adjust it, there is an adjustment screw under the black cap, I think its an allen screw...but they fill the center with glue so you can't adjust have to dig that glue out so you can get the allen wrench in...may even be a torx screw...either way it can be adjusted, you just have to dig the glue out first.

Powerstar ae125 runs hot then cold in shower

Increase your flow, sounds like you are right at your activation rate.
1 way is to turn down the temp on the machine, so you dont have to mix in so much cold at your shower. Check to see if your mixing valve is bad, or your showerhead has restriction/scale built up in it.The other way is to turn on your lavatory fixture full hot before showering(which will keep hot water flowing through the machine as you adjust your temp to be comfortable.

Replace rubber seal

this job takes a little while to do. first pull off the bottom plate on the front. then take out the soap drawer. you will find a screw behind it that you remove then you have to carefully pry off the trim around the control nob and lift the piece off you will find another screw to remove. check at the bottom of door panel for any other screws. it would also be a good idea to take off the top of washer do that first.

then pull front panel out and up to remove be careful there are wires at the top that you don't want to pull apart. that happen to me but I was able to put the wires back into the connector but it was not easy. the below seal has a wire around the outer part of the door I forgot so take that off before you rremove the front. u can use a screw driver to pry it off. then front will come off and you will be able to see how the below seal is hooked to drum and pry that off. take out the seal and you will see that the filler connector is on the top right you will have to pull it out of seal. then you can install the new one. good luck

Low pressure Saunier Duval therma condens boiler

May need to replace valves (appear to be corroded and plugged with deposits) and install a water conditioner in the inlet line if you have hard water.

My whirlpool duet front load washer has loose fins in the tub. how do i tighten them??

You're not gonna like this:

Pull the washer tub (see elsewhere on FixYa for step-by-steps), split the tub by removing the screws holding the two halves together, and remove the inner tub. Bend any tabs tighter that hold the fins on, and tighten any screws. While you have it apart, check for grease stains or other leakage on either side of the outer tub, and ensure the inner tub bearing is tight so that the inner tub shaft rotates smoothly and without oscillation. If there are stains or if the bearing is showing wear, replace that (back) half of the outer tub to replace the bearing (unless this is one of the few machines that allow you to replace only the bearing). You don't want to put all this back together, only to have to take it all apart again when the inner tub starts hammering on the inner tub because the bearing went south.

Not enough volts to my rheem electric water heater 240/208 is the main double pole 30 amp breaker bad?

Rodney, You have a problem with either the double breaker feeding the heater or some badly corroded connections somewhere along the line. Check the voltages at the incoming side of the breakers and the outgoing, they should both be 110/120 each. It's also possible that there's a problem with the incoming line to the home. We had the common terminal line corrode so bad that it finally broke off in a big rain, wind storm we had. Then we had similar problems, lights browning out, blinking on/off, etc. Got the line fixed, all the problems went away.

I want to check the anode rod on a Rheem 82VH40-2.

Alan, you're exactly correct. If memory serves me it's one of the smaller ones and is located closer to the center than the outer regions. So pop off the covers one at a time and poke around under it with a small screwdriver or scribe or some such thing. You should be able to identify it by it's shape. I believe it's a 13/16th's size of a socket to remove it. Personally, I don't usually replace them unless the customer insists. I think they're a waste of money and can eventually cause very bad odors in the hot water.

Trying to remove the temperature control ring so I can access stop valves and cartridge for removal. Can 't seem to get the temp stop pulled off and afraid to apply too much force which might result in...

Make if there is one, to take the set screw out. DO NOT pry from one side if you can pry from two sides at same time exerting equal pressure and it should just pop off, leverage is the key here be careful. Good Luck...
