Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I downloaded the manual and went to the troubleshooting. The monitor has no power and so I went to that specific section. it told me to check p702 voltages. It said they should be 5, but I only got 0.3. As the solution it wrote "check power board and find out a short point as opening each power line" ... I don't understand what exactly I'm supposed to do.. I'm not a native English speaker.

The first thing you should check are the leads from your morherboard to the hard drive

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electic extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
hope this helps

Red light blinking four times in a row

Sounds like a power supply issue/failure. remove any recently added hardware and retry. If not check the user manual for your specific pc model under troubleshooting section and match the code - I think it will be power supply.

How do u get to the menu on my aoc lcd monitor

hi

Depending on the brand and model of your monitor, there may be extra features that require special troubleshooting tips, or there may even be alternate ways of troubleshooting basic problems. For this reason, it is important to keep your user manual.

If you have come across an issue with your LCD monitor that cannot be corrected through the basic settings, you should consult the user manual to determine troubleshooting solutions for your specific monitor.

For example, The AOC 175F LCD monitor features a 90-degree rotating display, which, in order to rotate correctly within Windows XP, must have AOC's third-party software installed. This is not something required of all LCD monitors, as not all LCD monitors offer a rotating display.

If the troubleshooting section of your user manual still does not solve the problem, it may be necessary to contact the manufacturer's support team (via phone or web) to discuss what is wrong with your monitor

Computer it doesn,t turn on just the yellow light blink

Generally this indicates a failed power supply. There is also a slim chance that the motherboard could be bad, but 85% of the time, it is the power supply... Excerpt from the Service Manual:

Blinking amber:
- A power supply or system board failure has occurred.
- Check the diagnostic lights to see if the specific problem is identified. Also, see "Power Problems" in your computer Owner's Manual.

Link to troubleshooting section of service manual.

Monitor Does Not turn On...

My Friend you have a problem in the power supply, you try voltage check, check if you have output in the b+. if nothing, there is a regulator in power section, for example ic401, you look at the board you will see all the components section of ic401, all the capacitor have 4 for example c423 or resistor r423 like that one. You check all the section of the power supply. Hope I help you. bye

I have viewsonic 1703wb monitor. Often Monitor power went off

Check the power cable. If it uses a power brick style assembly (like a laptop) it may need to be replaced. Some power bricks can break a wire at the base of the brick just enough that it causes a short in the system and shuts down the power flow.

SDM-P234/B Won't turn on

Follow this procedure to troubleshoot the monitor. NOTE: Since each of these steps represents a possible solution to this issue, check the display function after completing each step. 1. Download and install the latest video drivers for the video card. 2. Disconnect the computer and monitor from any surge protector or power strip and plug it directly into a known working wall outlet. NOTE: If the display returns after completing this step, the problem is isolated to the surge protector or power strip. 3. Ensure the monitor cables are connected correctly. 4. Perform a monitor self-test. 5. Adjust the monitor brightness and contrast levels. NOTE: Refer to the monitor manual or user guide for specific instructions on how to adjust the monitor brightness and contrast levels. Manuals are available online in the Manuals/Specs/Warranty section of the Sony® eSupport Web site. 6. If possible, connect and use the monitor with a different computer. NOTE: If the monitor functions properly, then the problem is isolated to the computer to which the monitor was originally connected. 7. Ensure that the keyboard and mouse are connected correctly. 8. Troubleshoot the computer display configurations in Safe Mode. 9. Remove any hardware that has been added to the computer. This includes any added memory, internal or external drives, and any type of adapter card (network, sound, video, USB, etc.) . Let me know what happens. Good Luck, Tim
