There is a small square button on the right side of machine, it is toward the bottom.
push it in and it should drop the feed dogs.
push them again and it will raze them, may need to turn the handwheel a full turn after pushing button.
hope this helps.

Depends on what machine you have. Your owner's manual will have instructions.

Make Model manual

Machines either have a lever or dial that raises & lowers the feed dogs or there is a plate included with the machine that covers the feed dogs.

Kenmoresewingmachine won't feed material

You may have accidentally lowered the feed dogs. Look for a toggle switch that will raise them up again. Mine is to the left of my power button.

Can raise the teeth to the machine

Your manual will tell you where your lever is to raise the feeddog, remember to move your handwheel towards you, never away from you when you want to raise the feeddogs. Also make sure that you have engaged the machine again if you wound a bobbin. My feeddogs on my old machine was on the machine, if you pulled off the extension part to make the machine into a free arm. If, you have problems go to Sears sewing department and they will show you.

Machine sewing backwards only

If you machine was recently serviced, the service tech might have reversed the motor connections. If not, it could be the zero feeding mechanism is stuck. Try dropping your feeddogs, i.e. like sewing on a button. Then raise your feeddogs to see if the problem clears. What happens when you sew a buttonhole using the automated buttonhole accessory? If these do not work, it may be your pc board which has a 5 year warranty if you are the original purchaser from an authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer. If resetting feeddogs does not clear the problem, Will probably need service by an authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer. If the service tech cannot repair, they can send to Husqvarna Viking Service Technician for repair. Visit the Husqvarna Viking website for a list of dealers closest to you. http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us Good luck.

How to raise feed dogs?

Remove the needleplate and clear out any lint or felt deposits from between the teeth of the feeddogs, give the entire bobbin case area a good clean if it needs it too !!.

If that did not solve the troubles, there is a switch to raise/lower feeddogs, once reset to up position, one full revolution of the handwheel is needed for them to engage and raise.

After quilting I can not get the machine to sew normal sewing eg two layers of cotton. Also the stitches aare tiny and I have tried several solutions BUT not fixing the problem Materiel will not move from...

Are the feeddogs raised ?

Also remove needleplate & check for lint buildup between the feedog teeth, as there is a lot of lint in quilting, and it will form felt between the feeddogs and needleplate
