If there's frost on the back inside wall of the freezer and the fridge is getting warm you have a defrost problem,or if frost is on packages and racks the door could of been left open or the door where the ice comes out might not be closing properly.if it's a defrost problem you could have a bad defrost fan motor, you wouldn't hear the fan turn on when you open the freezer door,a bad timer or board, you didn't send the model number, bad heater or thermostat or loose wire.

usually that means your fridge thermostat is being blocked by items in your fridge, telling the cooling system to shut down. If your fridge and freezer are packed, the fridge might protect itself by shutting down the cooling system. Happened to us last Thanksgiving.

Hello, actually my Maytag refrigerator is 22 cu ft. bottom -mount freezer. I'm pretty sure my freezer is the frost less kind but it has started getting frost and almost snow in it. I was just wondering...

Hello
Any freezer will accumulate frost on walls etc, eventually.Mostly in the summer when there's more moist air and door openings. The fan is supposed draw all moisture to the evaporator coils so you won[t get the frost , So if it is excessive check to make sure refridgerator compartment is keeping cold.If it seems warm to you,you probably have defrost issues.
If ok ,then check door gaskets for air leaks ,(excess moist air gets in).Or excess food ,especially at bottom might block some air flow.

regards

Ge Profile Bottom Freezer...The freezer door does not seal properly and there is frost in the freezer at all times.

First you need to unplug the unit.so that the frost can melt , when it does clean all the water up . now take a blow dryer and go all around the seal and get it soft, when this is done , this will realign the seal plug unit back in

I have a 22 Cu.Ft. GE refrigerator. The freezer works perfectly, however the refrigerator section stopped working. I cleaned the motor in the back and the blower fan turns. Any suggestions?

Ge has many issues, but the most common is defrost problems, computor board problems or motorized damper door issues. Defrost problems you would see frost build up on the rear freezer wall, computor pc problems fans cycling on - off . Damper issues not opening fully or not at all. A little home work fist though.
