I have a linear tracking Akai AP M313 turntable without a stylus connected. I have bought the correct part number stylus for it but can't see how it fits. Can you help?

You need to define the cartridge make and model for us to be specific; and read the manual(s) or sheet that came with the stylus. They typically slide in the direction opposite that which the old one came out. I'm sure if you look at the inner surface of the stylus it will have guides suggesting the way it is inserted.

Behringer XENYX 2442 FX: Turntable into CD/tape IN. CD/tape OUT connected to USB device IN. Why is there no signal from mixer to the computer?

If I read correctly, you have outputs on the Behringer (CD/Tape Out) connected to inputs on the Behringer (USB Device In). Is that correct? If so, try going from CD/Tape Out directly to the computer. If not, please explain what the "USB Device In" is.
Thanks,
Rich

Kmx02 wont turn on

Make sure the plug for the power cord is the same polarity and DC or AC for the mixer. Also make sure the inner diameter is correct for the station power jack as well.

As long as power from the supply is correct and adequate, theother potential sources of problems can be a blown internal fuse, broken power jack circuit tracks/traces, bad solder joints, dirty switch contacts, some contact cleaner sprayed in the gap of the switch toggle and then flipped rapidly for a number of times might clean it up.

You can try various wiring configurations of wiring on the cartridge without harm. If none work then the cartridge will be faulty. Not super common but it does happen.

Looking to upgrade the cartridge/styli in my ion audio profile pro turntable. What products/company/style should I be looking for?

I have the same turntable, and sadly the cartridge is proprietary and unable to be changed. However, you can still upgrade the sound quality by replacing the stylus to a higher quality needle. I did that for about $25 and feel better about playing my precious vinyl. The biggest problem to this turntable is the lack of anti-skate. That's very bad...

Hello my AT turn table was distorting when trying to play a record, so I changed the stylus, but it still distorts. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I am assuming that you have used the turntable in the past (with the same set-up) without problem.
If so I would suspect that you need to replace the whole cartridge rather than just the stylus.
If this is a new turntable or you have connected it to a different hi-fi system (or a different input on your existing system) the problem is likely to be an impedance mis-match. In that case you may need to turn off any built in pre-amplifier in the turntable.

Loading an MPC5000 with midi files

if the mpc has GM soundbank then this should be possible. You might be better off recording the audio from a suitable GM unit first of all before gigging with it, then you can make it sound the way you want and change the key to suit etc.

How to connect my turntables to my mpc 1000

If your turntables use ceramic cartridges, you'll need to use a passive interface box that converts the unbalanced ( RCA ) plugs from the turntable to balanced ( 1/4" T-R-S ) plugs to connect to your MPC1000's stereo line inputs. If your turntables have magnetic cartridges, you will need an active phone preamp, check the music retailers catalogs or on-line there are many makes and models.
If you want to mix the two turntables ( sequeing from one to the other and back continuously as in a DJ setup ), you'll need a small DJ mixer.
Hope this helps.
