You can obtain a pdf copy of the owner's manual for this model from the following:

http://tv.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/panasonic/dmrez47v_dmrez475v.html

No membership, email or password required to download it. Just click 'Get This Manual' and the site will automatically direct you to the pdf page for viewing, or you can right-click 'Get This Manual' link and save as .pdf document. It's also free as far as I am aware.

The manual will explain in some detail about copying VHS to DVD and vice versa along with setup procedures etc.

I have checked the above download link; it works 100%. I hope it works for you too.

I have Tevion DVD VHS o TEV605 but no manual. Can someone tell me how to copy VHS to DVD please.

Converting VHS to DVD with a DVD recorder is quite easy. You need a DVD recorder, a VHS player and your VHS cassette, an RCA or S-Video cable. For more and you can click into the tutorial.

How can I transfer my vhs tapes to dvd from the LG RC185?

I think you use the "dubbing" button. I would strongly suggest reading the user manual for the specific step-by-step procedure as this is an integrated unit (see page 39 of the below link "Copying from VCR to DVD") - unfortunately LG's own site chooses no to use PDF and you need to install a plugin, so I suggest you download a PDF copy from doocument.com here: http://doocument.com/pdf/dvd-recorder-video-cassette-recorder-produktinfo-34042.pdf

What is a "Video CD"? -As opposed to a "DVD"?\r\nPlease, someone e-mail me, and tell me WHAT, EXACTLY I need to buy, in order to download my video slideshow, into a "Video CD". Do I buy disks that say...

Video CD abbreviated as VCD (Video Compact Disc)- Reference
CDRW - short for CD-ReWritable disk - Reference
DVD, also known as Digital Video Disc or Digital Versatile Disc - Reference

For "Video CD" recording just buy the CDR (standard 700MB 80min) Disc.
As for your software you are using most probably it is for creating VCD.

Hope it helps

I have a philips 4GB player and followed the instructions to download videos and they transfer to the device but they don't play. Can someone help?

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!

If you can see that videos are in there but the playback fails, then this shows that the format is not supported by your player.

Kindly tell me the Exact Model of your Philips MP3 player so that I can tell you which formats are supported and how to convert other to them.

Regards, WAQAR

How can i put music videos on 2 my mp3 player

You have to use the Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter to convert/transfer videos. If the converter is not recognizing a specific video type - FLV, for instance - download a free program called Riva FLV Encoder and convert the videos to AVI format first. Then the Philips Media Converter will recognize them.

The Philips Media Converter is not capable of converting an entire DVD - you will have to acquire video editing software, and then break up the DVD files into 15-minute chunks, and then convert each chunk.

If you are getting a codec error, do a google search for free video codecs - they are out there. Windows Codec Pack and downloading the latest version of quicktime will give you most of these needed codecs.

This player is not capable of playing copyright-protected videos - so don't even bother with them.

Additional information is available both from Philips website and from Arcsoft's website.

About transfering video from the tape into PC

I managed to dothis with my Canon MV750i so I know it can be done!

You are correct; the USB cable only transfers pictures from the SD card. To transfer video from your camcorder to a computer you need to use a Firewirecable (also known as IEEE 1394), and you need to have a socket on your computerto plug the Firewire cable into. Macs already have a socket built in butgenerally with PCs you will need to install (or get someone to install for you)a special card with the Firewire socket on it.

I can't explain the whole procedure here but you can getstarted by looking at the following articles on the Canon website. Thefirst one explains what sort of connections can be made on different Canoncamcorders (including the MV730i) and what you can do with them:
http://www.canon.co.nz/products/digital_video_cameras/home/mv730i.aspx

The second briefly explains what hardware and software youwill need, how it goes together, how to make DVDs and so on:
http://www.canon.co.nz/support/customer/default.asp?DXI=KnowledgeBase/Customer/KBArticleForm&File=KB01213&productID=mv730i

Unfortunately there is no quick, simple answer but I hope thispoints you in the right direction!
