Question about Canon PIXMA MP150 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Can't print after refilling cartridges

Hi, I have a Canon MP160 and I had the cartridges refilled today for the second time. After I fixed them in place the print still won't print, telling me that the cartridges are unsuitable or they are not fixed properly. Both cartridges are correct (I've been using them for 2 years), and they are fixed properly as well. Can anyone help please?

Try holding the "resume" button (triangle in circle) for 5-10 sec for each cartridge. That should reset them. If that doesn't work, remove the cartridges and gently wipe the electric circuit on the cartridges with a dry cloth. Put them back in. If nothing works, you might need to replace them.

That is the catagory you posted this under, next time post it under the one for a canon MP160 or at lease under a Canon printer. No help for you since you are incapable of posting under the right model, that means you are probaly unable to comprehend what i would even recommend. Have a nice day.

in the future be carful where you post, like for example i have no experience with canons, so there for all i could tell you is GENRAL troubleshooting, which you have probaly already tried. If this was a brother i would be able to hep more, so if you have posted it in canon then mabey someone there would be like me but know about canons

r u sure new cartridge is not refilled one?

E5 error means cartridges are not readable.

When you refill your canon cartridge, especially for color one, it happens. (after 4~5 times of refills)

So you have to replace the cartridge with brand new one.

(for your additional reference, it doesn't happen to black cartridge)

So at least you can refill black...

This is called E5 error when you insert refilled cartridge or compatible.....
Printer does not read that particular cartridge.

No solution other than replacing with brand new one.

Hi - E5 - Part popped out

Turn off and unplug the printer and slide the cartridge carriage over by hand. You could remove the cartridges. Then after reconnecting the cable, slide carrier back by hand and reconnect the power.

There are some special steps that you need to do when using refilled cartridges, I do not have that information for you at this moment. I can recommend that you purchase new cartridges instead.
