The oven locks, it starts beeping and the panel says F5E0. How do I remedy this problem?

F5 - E0 Door switches do not agree (condition exists when door switch is closed indicating an open door, and latch switch is closed indicating a locked door) 1. If door latched:
  1. Disconnect power from unit.
  2. Check wires and connectors from control to door switch, then from door switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
  3. Replace door switch.
  4. Re-apply power.
  5. Press and hold any key down for 1 minute to clear F5 failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.
2. If door not latched:
  1. Disconnect power from unit.
  2. Check wires and connectors from control to latch switch, then from latch switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
  3. Repeat steps A and B for door switch.
3. Measure door switch (door open = switch open small low voltage terminals). Replace switch if defective.
4. Measure latch switch (unlatch = switch open, CAUTION - oven light contacts are closed). Replace switch if defective.
5. If corrections are made in any step, reconnect power to control. Press and hold any key for 1 minute to clear R failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.
6. If failure remains, disconnect power and replace control.

Note: Applies to all F5-E... codes

Microwave door shut, but interior light is on - micro won't work

Yes. One of your door switches is not working. It could be an alignment issue or a faulty switch. There are actually 3 switches in the door latch area.

Beeping driving me crazy

Ok, the first issue is the oven temp sensor. it is shorted. you will need to replace this device asap. Now, the second is is concerning the Self clean latch. it is not functioning and it is unable to be locked by the control(shorted). Use the procedure below to test this device.

Dishwasher leaks during rinse cycle

it sounds like you need to adjust the door latch so that the top of the door will close tighter. when in the rinse cycle try pushing door at top to see if leak stops. if that doesn't let you know something then you got me. you have changed all that i can think of. Good luck

eazy first.need 220 if got, door switch it wiil click when depressed.next check where cord attaches.then the thermoal fuse.if has back panel or no same info.i call them missiles or flying saucers[thats what they look like].there white small have two wires to them.if you put the two wires too gether and isolate them,if problem your dryer will start, replace, but its a thermal fuse so the idea is if it gets to hot they open to stop fires,so mcheck all venting and dryer air waysGod is good, tom

the start button activates a realy inside the control panel
the relay latches to supply heavy current to motor and heater, until door switch or timer switch break the latching circuit
If relay is on its last legs, it could be causing delay in starting, not closing secondary
the relay is represented by the dashed switches at the right of this maytag wiring diagram, note that it has no relevance to physical position of components
cc57668.jpg the relay in maytags looks like this
