Hi

Please try this solution

Remove the USB cable into the printer and leave the printer on.
Remove all the cartridges.
Close the cartridge door and wait for the INSERT INK MESSAGE to appear.
Disconnect the power cable and from the power source supply.
Move the carriage using your hand from the original position to the other side of the printer and then move it back to original position. Wait for couple of minutes
Reconnect power cord and turn on the printer.
Return all the ink cartridges and close the door. Wait for the calibration process.
Print the test page to check if it working.
Reconnect the USB cable and try to print again.
Post comment if you need more help. Regards

Thanx for the tip, but that didn't do it, either. As soon as I turn on the printer, it immediately blinks and shows the E. Oh, I forgot to tell before: I can't install the CD of the product, it repeatedly aborts the installation process.

If the resetting of the ink cartridge does not work, either two thing is the problem problem. One is the cartridge is damaged and needs replacement or Another is the printer driver is corrupted and just uninstall and reinstall the printer driver and set up once more the printer.

You cannot install because the printer driver already installed I believe. Try to use this procedure.

Go to START, ACCESSORIES, right click on COMMAND PROMPT and choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR and then typw the SFC /SCANNOW. It will repair some problem with your windows registry and it may try to fix errors. I hope it helps you.

    Regards.

    Go to START MENU
Choose Commamd prompt, right click mouse and run as administrator (You should be in this command C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32- If not type this command when you in the dos command prompt "CHDIR C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEMS32\ and press enter")
    Type the letter "cmd"
Type the word "net stop spooler"
    Exit
    Go to C: drive
    Choose to Windows Folder
    Click show content
    Choose system32 folder
    Choose spool folder
    Choose printer
And delete all printing jobs pending
Again go back to CMD window and type the word "net start spooler"
Restart your computer and must also turn off your printer and then switch it on.

It will work fine right now
    I hope it helps you

Please let me know it you need more help. Regards

Or run the SCAN DISK to fix errors in your computer and then uninstall and reinstall again the printer driver. Then set up once again the printer. If cannot uninstall, just try to set up or add the printer again.

How to clean ink cartridges HP deskjet printers

You need the following items to clean the print cartridges:

• Distilled water (tap water can contain contaminants that
can damage the print cartridge)
• Cotton swabs or other soft, lint-free material that will not stick
to the print cartridge

Be careful not to get ink on your hands or clothing as you clean.

To prepare to clean

1. Open the HP Deskjet cover.
2. Wait until the print cartridge cradle moves to the
center of the HP Deskjet and is idle and quiet.
3. Remove the print cartridges and place them on a piece
of paper, with the copper strips facing up.

CAUTION: Do not leave the print cartridges outside the HP Deskjet for more than 30 minutes.
To manually clean print cartridge contacts

1. Lightly moisten a cotton swab with distilled water and
squeeze any excess water from the swab.
2. Gently wipe the print cartridge copper contacts with the cotton swab.

CAUTION: Do not touch the print cartridge ink nozzles. Touching the ink nozzles will result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.

1 Ink nozzles (do not touch) 2 Copper contacts
3. Repeat this process until no ink residue or dust appears on the swab.
4. Insert the print cartridges in the HP Deskjet, and then close the cover.

This happens when the connections on the cartridge get old. Especially when you refill or buy non HP Cartridges, try buying brand new hp cartridges and you might be able to get a couple refill out of them before this happens again.
