Not enough info. Is it a window unit or a central unit? Could be many things depending on what you have.

Magic chef french door fridge only cools on the bottom

If you charged the unit yourself the only thing I can think of is that you did not charge it properly. Refrigerators are not like AC units - the amount of charge, measured in ounces is very critical. You have to be right on the money lest it not cool properly.

If you have access to gauges and you are using the AC refrigerant normally used for cars, the pressure at ambient room temperature of 78 degrees should be around zero. Let the unit run for about thirty minutes to stabilize pressures and then do the reading. If room temp is higher than 78, then pressure can be a tad higher but no more than oupounds.

If no gauges, then allow unit to stabilize and then observe the temperature and condition of the suction line to the compressor. On a properly functioning unit the line should be cold to the touch and maybe sweating or beading. If it is warm to the touch you are low on refrigerant - add small amounts slowly till pipe cools. If you have frost forming on the pipe going to compressor the unit is overfilled and you have to bleed it slowly till it is cold and wet, not covered with frost.

Insufficient cooling is also caused by a improperly working freezer defrost mechanism whereby ice accumulates in freezer compartment. Here the culprit is either the defrost timer and or defrost heater element.

I have dometic AC 630515.331. I was having a problem with it cooling properly. A service guy checked it out and said the cold control wasnt working properly. Im trying to replace it but I dont see a cold...

When you say, wasn't cooling properly, could you give more details such as, cooling would not shut off, cooling would cut out before trailer was cool, fins/coils were frosting or freezing up. Compressor was kicking out and in too much or any other symptom you notice. All will help with proper diagnosis.

Refrigerator and freeze not cooling

Hi there! If your side by side refrigerator unit is not cooling properly there could be several causes. The damper door, between the two doors, is not functioning properly and not allowing the freezer's cool air to move into the refrigerator's side to cool everything down. You also could have a clogged sealed system line or faulty compressor. Do you hear the unit running as normal? Do you notice any side of the unit, or external area, that is severely warm/hot to touch? Make sure the unit is clear of debris underneath and around any coils or connections outside of the unit. You may want to power cycle the unit by unplugging it or turning the circuit breaker off to it for a few moments. If these steps do not prove to be successful, please contact a professional for further assistance.

Freezer door was accidentally left open for about one hour. Now the refrigerator and freezer are not cooling.

If the freezer or fridge door remains open for one hour or few more hours by mistake, then to again get to its proper cooling cycle, it requires approx another 24 hours. And in that also, dont open the refrigerators doors for few hours. If you open, close it quickly.Once it cooling cycle again gets set, then you can use it like you use regularly. But approx it takes 24 hours to get proper cooling.-------- ------------------ But if its already more then 24 hours and there is very low cooling, then it can be internal defrost cycle issue. You will have to do manual reset procedure. The manual reset procedure is as follows:-------- First unplug the unit from main power outlet. Then empty whole unit completely. Then keep both the doors open. Wait for 24 hours. All the ice collected on the coils and in the freezer section will get melted. Clean the water from the sections. Then Connect the power cord of the unit to main power outlet after 24 hours/.Then set the temperature to normal in both fridge and freezer section. It will take near to 4 hours to get run in its proper cooling cycle. Then check,it will get set to its cooling cycle and work as normal.------------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

The refriderator is not cooling properly but the freezer is freezing

A defrost system problem could be preventing the refrigerator from cooling properly. If you do see excessive frost on the evaporator in the freezer, you may be able to restore proper cooling in the refrigerator by storing your food in an ice chest and then shutting off the refrigerator/freezer and letting the unit completely defrost for about 24 hours. Leave the doors open for air circulation. After the frost on the evaporator has defrosted, plug the unit back in and see if the refrigerator and freezer will cool properly.
If there is still same problem then you need to replace evaporator fan.

Hope this helps.
Please feel free to ask us, if you have any further queries.

Danby ALSO does not cool 3 days old

Take it back where you bought it. A 12,000 BTU unit should be more than enough for a 192 square foot room, so there is some problem with the unit.

Not cooling properly

you need to have the freon pressure checked. if low the unit will not cool properly. if not cooling at all you need to verify that the compressor is running. if so then you have a sealed system leak. if not then check your ptc and overload on compressor. that is your start device for your compressor. unit could be stuck in defrost but not likely with a ge. usually the hv board would go out. if that is the case then you would have no power to unit

Lower unit does not cool

check for conditioned space fan not running. Does top cool and not the lower or are both not cooling properly. If fan is running, it could either be that the thermostat is not set low enough, evap is frozen up, the unit is low on freon, the compressor is not running. Start checking as much as you can and let me know.
