Hello hank. you have a bad circuit board, a common problem with these units due often to repeated exposure to steam etc. The cost of a repair will vary alot so if you are thinking that way do get at least three estimates.

often folks choose to replace rather than repair as the new ones are much less costly overall, less costly to operate and have better functions. Joe

Thanks for choosing Fixya!

My avantium 120 stopped working one day. I have tried unlugging and nothng happens when I replugg it.

The main fuse in the microwave has blown, this is usually caused by a door switch that has become defective, a service man is needed to replace the parts and check out the rest of the oven.

The microwave does not heat food from today. Is there any settings I can try? GE Avantium 120

In all likelihood the mangnetron has failed, or perhaps even the Power Supply. or a fault that is shutting the system down for safety reasons You need to have it serviced by a reputable service centre/man. Ensure you get a firm "Quote" before proceeding, and remember these days the cost of repair can equal or exceed the price of a new one.

GE profile mirowave JVM1350WW002. Handle broken

Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the screws you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) here that demonstrates how it's done.

You can find handy exploded views and order parts by model number here.

Power level

Hi cindeet,

I don't have this particular model, but have experience with other GE stoves & ovens. Looking at the control panel for an Advantium 120 at the link below,

http://www.geappliances.com/products/introductions/advantium/downloads/advantium_brochure.pdf

I'd start by pressing the "Power/Temp" button, and then turn the knob to select which power level.

There is also a Help menu shown (upper left corner of the photo I'm looking at - page 4 of the PDF document referenced above.

Let me know how this works for you - thanks in-advance.

Ge avantium changing magnetron

Usually you have to remove the outer cover of the microwave, and if it's an over the range model, it will have to pulled down from the wall.

If you don't have your installation instructions, you can download them here.

FYI, these models usually have a 5-year warranty on the magnetron.

We have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383
