Crazy for such a simple fix but they just don't sell them. so the above link will tell you about possibilities, and you can get the waste in k reset on epson's web site by putting in the serial number of your unit. The first thing you need to do it clear the printers problem and that can be solved easily. the second is that you can put in new pads if you can find them. here is how on a different model.

SOURCE: my printer is Epson L100

Epson printer is designed to stop working after number of copies. It needs resetting the waste counter. Just visit here www.epson-reset-utility.blogspot.com and download resettting software. There is no key required. Mine worked in seconds.

That means the cleaning pads are old and need replacing. Contact Epson.
I had that and it worked out cheaper to buy a new printer.

Service reqired The printer's ink pads are at the end of their service life. Please contact Epson support.

Not all the ink pulled from the ink-cartridges gets sprayed onto the paper.
Some of it ends-up in an absorbative pad.
Eventually, those pads get saturated with ink, and need to be "serviced".
Take the printer to any qualified computer-technician, for that servicing.
