Our corded phone's mouthpiece sounds muffled - Lands Phones

  • Anonymous Jan 19, 2009

We have the Twin Cordless Phone, and both handsets sound muffled "at the other end" when we speak. I just purchased this phone system at Christmas, so I wouldn't think there is anything obstructing the opening such as dirt, crumbs, etc. Any suggestions?

My samsung mini can hear callers but not hear me. Also the speakerphone aint working too.

Hello, the fault is from the mouthpiece of your phone. The mouthpiece is either defective or needs some cleaning. Sometimes dust can block the mouthpiece hole of the phone. Have the mouthpiece checked. Better still, use a handsfree (earphone). Good luck

When calls come through I can hear them but they can't hear me

Hello,

this is because the mouthpiece of your phone is defective. its either the mouthpiece is fault and needs replacement or there is dust on the mic hole, blocking it from function.

Use a phone screw driver to open up the phone, clean the mouthpiece hole, use a tiny pin to through dirt or dust that may be blocking the mouthpiece hole. couple the phone back ans try again.

If the problem still persists, then it means you will have to change the mouthpiece entirely. Go to any phone part accessories shop/store within your vicinity, buy a new mouth piece for your phone model, do the replacement and your phone should be perfect again.

Also, before you change the mouthpiece, you still have an option of using a hands-free (earphone) to receive and make calls till you replace the phone's mouthpiece. The hands-free hands-free (earphone) has it own mic/mouthpiece so its definitely going to work.

I hope the above solves your problem. Let me know is you still need further assistance or clarification and I will be glad to respond or reply back to you.

Good luck........

Whenever i'm trying to call, the person on the other line couldnt hear me if im using my lg prada.. i can hear them but they couldnt hear me, please help

Hello

The mouthpiece of your phone has either moved position or is no longer working.

To know what the problem is, open your phone and look at the part you normally speak through in the phone, you will see the mouthpiece move the mouthpiece so it is parallel to the mouthpiece hole of your phone.

Close the phone, put it on and try making a call to see if it is working

If it isn't then you should get a repairer to change the mouthpiece for you because it is faulty

But as a temporary solution you should get a headphone to use to make your calls

Thank you for visiting fixya

My voice sounds very low to whoever I speak to on the phone

the problem of your phone is obviously the mouthpiece.i want you to do this yourself because its quite easy;
Put off the phone, and remove the battery.
Get a clean cotton wool and spirit, remove the front case of you phone gently from the panel.
Moisten the cotton wool with spirit and squeeze out, then gently use the cotton wool to clean the surface of the mouthpiece which is located at the base of the phone.
After all these, couple your phone back and put it on.
if the problem perists after these,it means the mouthpiece is bad and needs replacement which means you might have to consult a phone technician.

They can't hear me

Hello,

this is a mouthpiece problem from your phone.

Loose the phone and read the mouthpiece with a meter. Or clean the phone board where the mouthpiece contacts.

If this does not work, it means you have to change the mouthpiece.

You can use a earphone to receive and make calls for the main time, till you change your mouthpiece.

Best regards.
