This can either be the fault with the software or with the hardware.I shall firstly recommend you to get the software updated. Check whether the problem persists. If it persists go for a hardware check. There might be fault in the inbuilt radio device.

Sound works for radio not for music volume is up music is playing no sound from any headphones

Did you try plugging in a different set of headphones? If other headphones work, maybe you need new headphones.

Try playing music from your Sansa through the computer, while it is tethered. If you can do this, it may mean that the audio amplifier part of the Sansa is broken-- Usually this means, 'get another Sansa.'

Also, try gently wiggling the headphone plug to the left and right, while it is plugged in. If you get music on and off, its possible that the headphone connector on your Sansa has a broken connection. This is a VERY difficult problem to fix (without breaking or melting something else inside the case) and also usually means it is time to get another MP3 player.

It looks like this device will play mp3's written to a cdr just as files. I don't seem to see an input for a headphone OR line in.

Some dealers installed a modulator for the radio; look under your driver's side dash to see if there is a small on/off toggle switch. If there is, flip it 'on', tune the radio to 89.1 and you should get audio.

If they haven't installed this, no problem. You can buy a modulator from most electronic stores that is used to play MP3 players through the car stereo; instead of an MP3 player, simply plug the cable into the headphone jack of your DVD player.

Mp3 player

some mp3 players REQUIRE the headphones, headset, earphones connected. The wire functions as an antenna. So try using it with headphones. If the problem persists, then it has something to do with the gadget itself. Hope this gave you a hint on what to do! Good luck!

Sounds like there is a problem with the headphone jack on your unit. This is a common problem. Recommend changing out the headphone jack. We offer this service.

Keep the headphones in one place and stay very still - many mp3 players are as sensitive as this one.
