Is it possible to use intel duel core E5400 processor with MSI B75MA-P45 Motherboard? or any other motherboard support DDR3?

Hello here is the cpu list, for the asus board:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboard/P5QLCM/#support_CPU

Here is the msi site:

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/B75MA-P45.html#/?div=Basic

Your current cpu will not fit on the msi board, because it is a different socket.

The asus board has socket LGA 775, and the msi board has socket 1155.

You have to buy a new cpu for the msi board, to make it work.

Here is the cpu list:

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/B75MA-P45.html#/?div=CPUSupport

If you want to keep the socket 775, you probably have to find a used mainboard, because this socket type is phased out.

Some online stores still have this mainboard type available, but a new mainboard will have the DDR3 ram socket.

Good luck

Is i3 processor is compitable with msi 945gcm5 ver:4.2 motherboard

No.

The Intel 945GC motherboard chipset, will not support the new Intel Core i technology.

MSI 945GCM5 Version 4.2,

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/945GCM5-F%20V2.html

(It's also the MicroStar International MS-7267)

Specification / Detail / Detail Specification;

Intel 945GC chipset

CPU (Processor) Support,

http://eu.msi.com/product/mb/945GCM5-F-V2.html#?div=CPUSupport

With your motherboard, the motherboard chipset consists of a Northbridge chip, and a Southbridge chip; for the motherboard chipset,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Motherboard_diagram.svg

The Northbridge, and Southbridge chip are so aptly named; because of the relation to how they sit on the motherboard.

Really.

If you looked at the motherboard as a Map; the Processor (CPU), sits due North. The Northbridge chip is located close to it.
The Southbridge chip sits South, or towards the bottom of the motherboard.

The Northbridge chip handles the faster capabilities of a computer.
Handles the Processor (CPU), Ram Memory, and HIGH-speed graphics.

AGP and PCI Express are HIGH-speed graphics technology.

A PCI graphics card inserted into a PCI slot, or using Integrated Graphics; is NOT high-speed graphics.

The Southbridge chip handles the Slower capabilities of a computer.

1) Anything inserted into a PCI slot, or connected to the PCI bus.
2) IDE bus
3) SATA bus
4) USB bus
5) Ethernet bus
6) Audio (Sound)

Chip and Chipset are slang terms for I.C.
Integrated Circuit,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Integrated_circuit

[Just for edification while I'm here;
The I.C., or chipset used for graphics; is the graphics chipset, or more properly known as the G.P.U.
Graphics Processing Unit,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPU ]

The Intel Core i technology, did away with the Northbridge chip.
It also uses QPI, or Quick Path Interconnect; instead of a Front Side Bus, (FSB),

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_QuickPath_Interconnect

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nehalem_%28microarchitecture%29

http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/535

Plus you have an LGA 775 processor socket, and the Intel Core i processors use either an LGA 1156, or LGA 1366, or LGA 1567, processor socket,

How to install CPU- Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 into a asus barebone system P4-P5N9300pc please?

This particular CPU is not on the list of processors supported by this board. See "CPU Support List" tab:

ASUS P4-P5N9300 Spec

How to install Socket LGA 775 CPUs:

Lift up the cpu slot load plate (which covers the pins and also locks the cpu in place) and install the processor slowly, vertically and carefully into the socket without bending any of the tiny pins in the motherboard socket. Lock the load plate.

The advent of the LGA 775 form factor moved the tiny pins from the CPU to the motherboard socket. Great for Intel, not so great for motherboard manufacturers. Now bent pins are the responsibility of the board makers. Customers with bent pin problems are no longer contacting Intel.

ASUS P5Q3 with Xeon CPU

Yes, it will work. However it depends on which one you buy. Here's one that will work with that particular motherboard.

First, visit this website. Now search for, "Xeon" (Without the quotes, though). Click the second result on the list, which should be the, "Intel Xeon E3110 Wolfdale 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor Model BX80570E3110 - Retail." That processor is a 45NM LGA-775 processor, which Asus claims that motherboard can support 45NM LGA-775 processor.

Let me know if I can assist you further, or if I need to explain anything in more detail. If this solves your question, please rate the solution.
