Base from the description of your problem this can be a sign of hardware failure or just a problem with the power cord of the unit.
What you can do here to isolate the problem is to connect the printer on a different power outlet and see if that will correct the issue, but if still not do try a different power adapter for the printer and if still same problem the printer is having a hardware failure already and better have it check from a service tech of better yet have it replace if still under warranty.
