Question about Microsoft MN-700 Wireless Router

Open Question

I cannot get my android tablet ( Viewsonic G) to connect to my Microsoft router. The router is wirelessly connected to a fujitsu notebook and Ethernet connected to and Acer desktop flawlessly. It has routinely connected to mac books, cell phones and other laptops. The tablet is new but the wireless technology in it works. I connected the tablet wirelessly at the tech desk of the local CompUSA and did some updates which executed but did not help this problem. When trying to connect to the Microsoft router the tablet reports "connecting", "obtaining IP address from MSHOME", "disconnecting" and it starts all over again. I even replaced the tablet earlier today, exchanging it for another. This one does exactly what the last did. I have tried removing security on the router with no effect. What setting on the router or tablet could cause this? Frank, in Florida

I have wireless for my notebook but cant add tablet

This question has many possible answers depending on the wireless router, so I will try to cover the most accurate possibilities. Since the Ematic EXP8 supports standard 802.11b WiFi, I suspect your router is transmitting 802.11a or 802.11n which may not be supported by the Ematic. Log into your Wireless Router, change the wireless to 802.11b which is the most universal. If you can not see your wireless router on the Ematic EXP8, then this is your issue. If you can see the router but can not connect then change the WiFi to from WEP to WPA Personal.

Belkin router is getting disconnect in every 2minutes on my tablet pc

How many devices are connected to the wireless? Are you moving about when you lose the signal? Is the wireless Secured? If you have other computers/laptops connected do they lose signal? Many thing will cause loss of a signal, much like a cell phone.

I cant get my tablet to connect to wifi

Android tablets, unlike Android phones, don't require mobile phone service or a contract with a mobile phone company, and several models use Wi-Fi for network connectivity. The Android 3.0 operating system, known as Honeycomb, is designed specifically for tablets, and has the same features for Wi-Fi connections that are available with earlier versions of Android. Android tablets support wireless connections encrypted by both WEP and the more-secure WPA.

Tap the "Apps" menu on the tablet screen. Touch "Settings." Touch "Wireless and Networks" and select "Wi-Fi Settings." Tap the "Wi-Fi" box to turn on Wi-Fi. The Android tablet scans for available Wi-Fi networks and displays them on-screen under "Wi-Fi Networks." Tap an available Wi-Fi network. Touch "Connect" if it is unsecured, or enter the password or passcode for the encrypted connection.
Tap "Connect."

Super pad vi tablet problem connecting to wifi

This may be a router problem or a Tablet problem. Your router may be a 5 GHz model and your tablet is most probably 2.4 GHz. or it could be that you have entered the incorrect password into your tablet.
