Question about Husqvarna Garden

1 Answer

I have just purchased a Husqvarna 128CD trimmer and it boggs down and you have to play with the trigger to keep it running when you are trying to cut. I have not even used the line that came with the trimmer.

This sounds like the carburetor is out of adjustment. I would first advise you to seek warranty related service at the service center the seller dictates to have the carburetor set properly.

1. [Broken Throttle cable?] I would start by making sure that when you press trigger you see the throttle cable moving linkage on carb.

2. [Spark arrester clogged?] There is a small metal screen at muffler that is known for getting clogged with carbon deposits and will prevent air/exhaust from leaving engine properly, causing it to bogg down. Try removing it and test run, if that fixes it clean or replace spark arrester.

3. [Incorrect spark plug?] If spark plug was changed recently and is not the correct one for this model trimmer it can do that. Or, if spark plug is fouled(too much carbon built up/or incorrect gap).

4. [Bad carburetor?] if there has been water in fuel, or carb has stiff diaphram inside it will not run properly.

5. [Needs service?] if none of the above work you may have to take it in for repair.

We're having trouble with our just-purchased Husqvarna 128CD trimmer - the tap head doesn't seem to work properly. When I tap the head, the line doesn't extend. On first use, the line became...

It is a fairly simple head, push the two ears in either side of the head, the black base will then come off, check the cord inside has not become trapped, check the blue button depresses ok, re assemble, run the machine at full revs and bump it down on the grass.

I have a 128cd. The weedeater starts good but keeps stalling when switched to the full run position.

possibly a fuel starvation issue. check carb settings and possibly clean and replace diaphragms if needed.

How do i take the whole weed eater head off of my 128cd to add another type of head

You have to hold the dust cup with a wrench to keep the shaft from rotating.
