This certainly indicates damage to any of the components inside the router. Hence, it is recommended that you get it checked it by a professional.

Blinking power and link led

Hi There - in my experience, blinking power lights on routers mean faulty power supplies - the Power Adaptors are prone to failure after long periods of continuous use - I would find out what voltage and current consumption is required for your router (usually printed on a label on or near the power socket in very small writing), then buy a replacement adaptor - you don't need to get the exact same item, one which can be adjusted to give different voltages should work just as well if you can match the voltage and power rating your device needs - You can use an adaptor with a higher power rating but don't use one with a lower power rating

D-link router (with 1 antenna and no modem) that has no power and no LEDs lit. the outlet still works to charge a cellphone. how do we fix the router?

Possibly the powersupply for the router is dead. Find another powersupply with same voltage output to try OR test the output tip with a meter. If the power supply does work then your router is dead. Replace it. If there is no power (5 volts or 12 volts etc) coming from the tip of the power supply adaptor then replace the adaptor / power supply.

Lost my adapter of below drive

While I don't have any specific information about the drive in question.. I CAN tell you this:

MOST hardware works at 5v... Some (most) have an internal regulator to drove 9v or 12v back down to 5v... MEANING:

If this has your lost family's pictures on it, and its uber important to recover-- but you don't have the finacnes to purchase another to get the adaptor, etc..

START with a 5v adaptor.. move up to 9v..the eventually 12v... of course polarity is a concern (to not blow it up)... a multi-meter can fix that.

Ok.. thats the technical side.

EASY SIDE: Go but another... use the adaptor to get your stuff off.... return it... and get a new device.

Compaq evo 510 tower 1256 ram win 7 nvidia 6600 garapics card in AGP slot upon pressing power button goes green for about 1 sec and then nothing starts, power led just remains steady flashing red, some...

Could be the power supply. Try unplugging the internal hardisk power, the internal cd power and anything else that is connected internally apart from the motherboard power supply. This may reduce the load enough to allow the motherboard to be powered.
As power supplies age, internal electrolytic capacitors dry out and can no longer store sufficient charge to provide power. This usually affects the higher voltage rails more, so USB devices can still get power from the 5V rail.
Try a working power supply from another computer if you can or buy a replacement to fit your case.

DSL status LED is not on. After an ISP problem the DSL status LED is not on. ISP told us to power off the router for ten minutes. After re-powering the router DSL status LED is not on.

Two problems,
1 - The power adaptor of the DSL Router is not working,
2 - the Telephone cable is not connected properly
3 - If it's a cable modem then the cable is not connected properly
4 - Check with you service provider if he's made changes in the exchange and if you need a new DSL router.
Your DSL service provider should be able to solve this issue.

ensure that the electrical plug is intact, if you saw no led light lit at all on all indicator check the adaptor itself, if you have a tester you can try to test the end connector to see if there is a DC power line that is coming out.
if not either the adaptor is defective nor the reouter itself is burned out

No power led, wlan led blinking

well, what you could try is unplugging the power source from the cable modem, and the router. wait about 1 minute. then plug everything back in and wait.

i remember having this problem as well, but i think the problem with me was that my wireless computer was too far away from the wireless router, not saying that your too far or not, but that what i had, so i just pitched the wireless adapter, and created an ethernet connection. just sharing my experience.

this unit use an adapter rated at DC 5V 2.0A
the connector is the issue as long as it matches the above specs and the connector will fit.
