    Hi Daniel,
I took out the pump assembly today and it was clean. So I reinstalled the pump and tried the spin cycle again. When the machine is running on this cycle I am hearing a clicking sound which indicates to me that the spin cycle is trying to engage. Should the lid lock engage on the spin cycle? Because I noticed the lid lock is also not engaging. Your quick response will be appreciated.

The connection to the lid lock switch seems to be OK since when the lid is open the machine stops. The timer connection also seems to be OK

Where is the timer motor located on the machine. How can I remove the timer knob. Is it a screw type knob or one that can just be pulled out?

You'll have to check the drain pump assembly located inside the bottom front panel of the unit. Take it out and clean it completely to solve the issue. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Please check the connection on the lid lock switch. Make
sure it is not open circuit. If lid lock switch seems to be fine then check the
connections to the timer on your washer.

If the connections are fine and you hear the click from the control then it is the timer motor that is bad and should be replaced

Washer won't go into spin cycle, stops after final rinse. When I try drain &rinse it still will not spin.

If the unit does not spin correctly, this is usually an indication that the unit can also not drain. The unit will not spin if it senses a blockage or issue with the drain lines and/or pump. Try to check the drain lines in the back of the unit for any issue, and then see if you have an access panel to get to the coin trap or drain pump itself. Often socks and debris will clog up in this area and cause your problems.

HE2 front loadable washer doesn't move fm wash to rinse to drain

Sounds like the door lock. It will not advance to spin if it thinks the door is open. There is a instruction sheet inside the unit behind the lower panel. That will give the error codes for the flashing lights.

I hae a Whirlpool LSR8233EQ1 Top loading washer.

If you can catch it running while in the spin cycle but not spinning ( put a butter knife or screwdriver in the lid switch hole ) and wiggle the timer knob . If it starts spinning during this process , the timer needs replaced . Sometimes though , when a washer does everything BUT spin and you hear the motor running , the transmission is the problem .
