I am glad to HELP YOU!

I did a research on the Internet for you and I've discovered the driver that you are missing HERE.
Just click on the DOWNLOAD link and get the file [SAVE AS] on your computer. Once the file is downloaded you will need 7ZIP or WinRAR to un-archive it; after that just double-click on it to INSTALL the driver and you're done.

GOOD LUCK!
My best regards!

Error: Unable to connect to the synaptics pointing device driver

What you need to do is go to device manager by clicking on start and control panel and find the device manager. You can also type devmgmr.msc and hit enter. Then you can see the pointer devices. You can then delete them and the right one will come back when you restart the computer you can then go back to the device manager and disable it there.

Tip

Add multitouch to nearly any laptop

If your laptop has a touchpad made by the Synaptics company, you can install a driver that will enable multitouch gestures like the ones Apple uses. This driver is for HP computers, but Synaptics makes touchpads for nearly every brand, and I have this running on a Dell with no issues. The drivers can be downloaded from this site. Once they are installed, find the Synaptics Pointing Device item in the system tray (near the clock) and open it. Go to the device settings tab, highlight your Synaptics device in the list, and click on settings. All the multitouch options are spread out in the window that opens.

Ha a Toshiba Satellite a100 I can not turn off the touch pad (as I only want to use the mouse). Both touch pad and mouse are working. the laptop had to be reformatted recently and its since then All...

If your computer have a, Synaptics Touchpad you can try these steps:

1. Access the properties of the Synaptics Pointing Device by right-clicking on the system tray icon at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. If you do not see the icon, open your Control Panel and select the "Performance and Maintenance" option. Click "System", then "Hardware", then "Device Manager" to view the devices on your computer. Open the "Mice and Other Pointing Devices" selection.

2. Click on the "Device Settings" tab of the "Mouse Properties" window. The "Device Settings" tab is at the top of the window and located farthest to the right

3. Highlight the Synaptics Touchpad from the list of available pointing devices. Click the "Disable" button underneath the list. Click "OK" on the pop-up menu to confirm your selection. Click "OK" on the Mouse Properties window to close the window. Your Synaptics Touchpad will now be disabled.

Make sure to connect a USB mouse to your laptop before disabling the touchpad so that you will still have control of your pointer.

Hope this help. Goodluck!

My synaptic pointing device stop working ..I think

Since you do not specify the model number for your HP laptop one cannot be too specific. On my Toshiba laptop activation and deactivation of the touch pad is enacted by pressing the Fn-F9 sequence.

The actual Function key to press after the Fn key might have the picture of a touch pad on it. Examine tour laptop keyboard.
