Question about Computers & Internet
This issue could be due to on of several reasons. Mostly, it is dust on the lens.
First open the drive, and try to clean the lens of the CD/ DVD Drive with a dry or if required damp cotton swab (any glass cleaner may be used). Be very careful not to apply excessive pressure or spill any liquid as it may cause further damage.
Also, check if the motor of the drive is spinning and the LED shows any activity/ data reading.
If the above suggestion fails, you may get it inspected by a professional and get it replaced.
Let me know if any further clarification/ assistance is required.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
