My computer broke down and after fixing.i tried downloading my yahoo messenger again but got a reply that its already installed. But am having difficulty accessing the page.What do i do?

I'm going to guess you're computer is running on Windows. I'm using Windows 7 and but the other versions will be very similar. I would recommend removing Messenger and reloading it. Click on the Start button and choose 'Control Panel' from the pop-up window. Under 'Programs' click on 'Uninstall a Program'. Go down the list and find 'Yahoo Messenger' probably at the very bottom since they are listed alphabetically. Right click on in and select 'Uninstall/Change'. Follow the instructions to uninstall. Then go to Yahoo and download a clean version of Messenger. I hope this helps

check your firewall settings or if you have antivirus software that might be stopping the installation of yahoo messenger. try to download again the yahoo messenger. check you might already have installed it and might have corrupted the installation. check the program files folder if you can find the yahoo messenger folder then delete that or check add and remove in control panel if you can uninstall the yahoo messenger that you previously installed.

It seems that you tried to save your ID with Password to automatically login option, and by chance the id was empty, and it is mixed in Registry of your windows,
Step 1: Uninistall the yahoo messenger from your computer from control panel also remove yahoo browser services or toolbars installed
Step 2: Go to program files folder and delete yahoo messenger folder C:\program files\yahoo
Step 3: What you can do is to clear the registry entries of Yahoo messenger, Download C cleaner from the link below

First of all, check whether it's already installed or not. You can do this from the Add/Remove Programs under Control Panel. If you can find Yahoo messenger in the installed program lists, please uninstall it. Once it's been uninstalled, restart your computer and follow the instructions mentioned here [click here].

As for seeing other people on line, you have to let them see you first.

Click Messenger on the toolbar and scroll down to Privacy Options, in the top category, fill in the square beside Allow Yahoo Websites to show when I'm online.

At the bottom of the page click Apply, then OK. Immediately restart your computer and you're all set!

hi, it may be due to low bandwidth problems yahoo just gives u a small installation file, and tries to install the rest of the messenger program by downloading them when required, after all the files are downloaded, ur installation is completed. if ur net gets disconnected, or yahoo server lags(very rare case, but happens), then u lose all that u have downloaded..simple way is always try to download from filehippo.com, when it comes to yahoo messenger, as that site provides a full fledged messenger, without the need for downloading before installing..

actually maybe you installa yahoo messenger is not fix.to your download. or maybe the software you down load are have many virus so if your install they are not complete install..
