It is too slow too when start and i cant play dvds

Dear user,

Slow start could because of too many applications included while booting, please disable the unwanted applications like skype/yahoo/gmail/msn by changing their auto load settings,

next download some disk cleaner software , normally most give the start up edit options from here you can easily remove unwanted apps.

Also your anti virus takes up time on boot specially AVG, try using some other anti virus and some antivirus may be performing background scanning thus slowing down your PC, try to disable this if possible.

Hi Jerod - we'd like to get some more info from you on your specific configuration to narrow this down. But, it's likely an issue specific to the T110 (quick way to isolate is to run 2003 Server in a VM on the same machine to see if you still have the issue). Please contact us at http://www.ncomputing.com/techsupport (online or phone support) and we can help you with this.

I have an aspire 3053 laptop it is so slow its unbelievable is it possable to change the memory to speed it up its about 3 year old

Is your computer running Windows Vista Home Basic?
Does it have 512MB of RAM installed?
If yes to both questions, then adding 2048MB of RAM will _definitely_ speed-up your computer.

See: http://www.pcmemorystore.com/Acer-Aspire-3050%5E1733-ram.htm where you can buy 2GB (2048MB) of DDR2-4200 RAM for $38 US.

The usual cause for a "slow" computer is too-many programs running at the same time (not too many programs installed onto the disk-drive) competing for too-small amount of RAM.

Turn the computer off.
Disconnect the AC power-cord.
Flip the computer over.
Remove the battery.
Remove the screws over the memory cover (at the centre of the bottom).
You'll either see a stick of RAM, or an empty slot for RAM.
Remove any existing RAM, and insert the new stick of RAM.
Replace the cover.
Insert the battery.
Connect the AC power.
Boot it up, and it will run _MUCH_ faster.

Runs very slow at times, specially when running more than one application. the G and the V are not always working. Cursor flies to other areas of page when typing and highlights in the middle of typing. ...

The amount of ram is usually the most common reason for computer slow downs. Check the amount of ram you have by going to the control panel > system > look on the first page and your total installed ram will be shown in MBs. It would be advisable to be running at least 2 GB with any Windows operating system.

Go to the link below and download this program, run it and let it upgrade itself if needed, then run it and perform a quick scan, when it is finished click on "show results", delete anything it finds.

System is very slow

You have to upgrade your RAM sir if you know to remove the side cover of your tower (cabinet) you can easily find out the RAM i will send a picture of the RAM there are 3 types of RAM SD,DDR1, DDR2 you have to find the type of your RAM first.
1. if you have 2 cuts in your RAM its SD RAM692c6b0.jpg 2. If you have only one cut in the middle it is calles DDR1 RAM

818e4cd.jpg 3. If you have 1 large chip followed by 4 medim sized chips and one small chip it is DDR 2 RAM
if you have 256MB upgrade it to 1 or 2 GB then the system will be faster. replace the RAM with DDR2 RAM.20b2388.jpg
