When it feels like the needle is jammed, open the bobbin cover and release the two black retaining levers, one on either side of the bobbin case. The hook cover that is visible will be released. If the machine turns by hand smoothly, you may have a piece of the broken needle, or just a piece of thread stuck behind the hook or hook cover causing the bind. This problem will sometime make you swear that the needle is stuck in something because it will usually bind while the needle is down in the fabric.

My sewing machine needles keep breaking

Could be a timing issue. Is your machine a top load rotary , or a front load oscillating system, (ie. metal bobin case you put bobbin into then insert to machine, or black plastic bobbin case you "drop" your bobbin into...?

How do I thread my Lemair 875 Sewing Machine please

Never thread a sewing machine with the presser foot down as the thread is not accepted through the tension disk at the top of the machine. Also change your needle! A sewing machine needle should be replaced every 10 sewing hours. Check your manual for the way a needle is inserted, some face left, some face right and most have the flat side of the needle at the rear.... it's not hard! sewing should be fun, not stressful. Happy sewing.

Bobin will not pick up

Hello

The most common reason I see for bobbin thread not being picked up is that the needle is in backwards. Or the needle is a little bent (sometimes it's so little you can't see it, but the machine knows!). So start by trying a new needle (size 80/12 is what's used for test sewing on most machines). If that doesn't work, turn the needle 180 degrees and try again -- there is a definite front and back to a sewing machine needle.

Make certain that your bobbins are the exact ones recommended for your machine. Many look similiar, but if they are off even slightly in depth, they will not work. Also, make certain your bobbin in locked into position in it's case and the thread is coming from the bobbin in the correct direction. When holding my metal bobbin in my hand, the thread pulls counter clockwise before placing it into my front loading bobbin case. Each machine is different so check your manual.

I CANNOT PICK UP THREAD FROM BOBIN TO NEEDLE. I HAVE CORRECT THREAD ON MACHINE AND BOBBIN-BOBIN IS IN CORRECT NEEDLE IS CORRECT. THE MACHINE I HAVE IS THE 3230 ELNA AND it SEEM TO BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH...

* Try to hold the end of the top thread towards to the back of the machine while you turn the hand wheel towards you .* Have the tension on top set to four.
* Check the bobbin tension. It should be set to set to four. This is an equivalent pull with the above tension.
*If this doesn't work the machine will need to be "timed" properly. Your local repairman can help.

How can you fix the under threading of a sewing

Check the ovious things first make sure you needle isnt broken... then make sure there isnt any thread twisted inside your bobin housing. make sure bobin is inserted correctly if those things dont help it could be an issue of timing in your machine... I work as an embroidery operator in a factory setting and those things usually help..

Needle is hitting the bottom of the bobin hausing

It sounds for sure like the needle is not in all the way. Try inserting the needle again, it ,may have slipped when it jammed.

Needle jaming and thread gathering under bobin case

when this happens to me (the needle breaking) I make it a thing to do and that is to use a qtip with a bit of oil and clean the bobbin holder and then use canned air and blow out the lint from area and this may help you. You may have a tiny tiny piece of needle left in the holder and this will play havoc with any kind of sewing machine. I have suffered through it many times before I made this a practice when needle breaks

Thread bunches from the bottom while sewing.

Hello, sewing is a part of my income and I've encountered this problem before and managed to fix it on my own, by trying out these different things. I re-threaded the machine and checked to make sure that the tension is not too loose. Check the bobin and the sack the bobin fits into, sometimes it comes loose too, click it back into place and re-do the bobin. adjust the tightness of the stiitches, I usually put it on 2 .5 - 3. Hope this helps. Good luck to all. Nefishakh@hotmail.com
