Those folder are not unusual, they are folders that have file compression enabled, so you dont have to uninstall any of them.
You can disable file compression by;
Right-click the file or folder and click properties. Click advanced. There is a check box for Compress contents to save disk space

hope this helps

3 Important Tips for iTunes on Windows for the non-MAC users
There are times that software would bug down or get messed up. We do not have total control over them. Either software gets infected or damaged by a virus or even for an unknown reason its files just get messed up. Same is true for iTunes.
There are times that we experience doing an upgrade for iTunes and then all of the sudden it stops, crashes or this nasty little error window would pop-up. There are even times that we had to reinstall iTunes and, upon doing so, discover that we have lost our valuable music. This guide is the answer to all that problems.
Tip#1: Make sure that you know where all your data is being saved. For the iTunes Media Folder, the location is in your My Documents Folder ("My Documents\My Music\iTunes" to be exact). And that is the default location unless you changed it manually. Now, why do we need to know this. Simple. If things get messed up, this is where all your precious music are located. This is the folder you need to backup.
Tip#2: How do you make sure that all your music, downloaded or imported, is in that iTunes folder? What you need is to setup your iTunes to copy everything there. The reason why you need to do this is that everything will be organized. You would not have your music files all over the place or in different and random location, which would just give you headaches later on. You would then not need to search all your folders for your music files. Also, this prevents you from having problems during iTunes reinstallation where in most cases a lot of people would suddenly discover that some or a lot of their music is missing right after that process. So, how do you do this? On your iTunes menu at the top, click Edit. Then click Preferences. Click the advanced tab. Here you will notice that you have the location of your iTunes Media Folder. Right below that make sure you have a check on "Keep iTunes Media Folder Organized" and "Copy files to iTunes Media Folder when adding to library." The last item is the important one. This makes sure that all your data is copied to that folder. This item is by default not checked. So, make sure that there is a check mark on it.
Tip #3: What happens if the inevitable happens? If I could not update iTunes or if iTunes gets messed up? What do I do? As long as you have followed Tips #1 and 2, you are safe from the hassle of searching, downloading and importing all your data again. First, go into your iTunes Media Folder and copy all your data to a separate folder. This is your backup. Now, it is safe to uninstall iTunes. After you have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes make sure that you follow Tip#2 again. Then after that just import them all back using iTunes' import functionality under the File Menu.
Now that you have these 3 steps you are all set and confident that, whatever happens to your iTunes, you will be able to recover all your data.

I uninstalled a program that had named itself program files, and I think it uninstalled everything on windows XP I don't get a login screen anymore

The only thing i know to be named "Program Files" is a default folder created upon installing the OS. It wouldnt be a program, its a folder where the programs you install are stored by default. if you did delete this folder, you may no longer have a working OS, and might need to reinstall your OS.

There are 2 steps you can do to get this option back.

First, You need to update Adobe Flash player Or you need to uninstall and Reinstall the Adobe Flash player.

Since you uninstalled the Software and and reinstalled, the Software is not able to detect the latest Adobe software in your PC.

May i know what is the operating system ?

Try this step below to update to adobe flash player if you are using Windows XP or Windows Vista
Click on START button
Click on MY Computer or Computer
Open C:/ local Disk
Open Windows Folder
Open System32 Folder
Open Macromed Folder
Open Flash Folder
You will find few flash files
Double click on file Flashutil10 and it should give you update screen. Continue and complete the process.
Restart your PC and try to Scan

If this does not work, you need to uninstall adobe flash player and reinstall it and it will work.

Ron

Hi digitaldr445 !
This is one solution , maybe not the easiest one nor the best one but it will work .I understand you have the Win 7 install disc :
Back up your data , especially the drivers .
Extract the hdd out of your lap , put it in a external USB box or use a specific connector to connect the drive to a healthy pc . Format the drive . Place it back into your laptop and reinstall
Windows 7 .
Best regards .

Hi Irene,

Firstly defrag your C drive. Be patient as it'll take time. After having done that, go to Start > Settings > Control panel > Add/Remove programs. In that see whether you have uninstalled all components of Norton Antivirus (Live Update, Etc.) If so, then close that window and again click on Start go to Run... & in the dialogue box type regedit and hir ENTER.

Make sure you're disconnected from the internet. Disable your ADSL/Dialup line before you begin this procedure.

(Now be very very careful here. You'll need a lot of concentration. So be patient & keep a track on your clicks & keystrokes)

Press F3 (for Finding a key value) Here type in Symantec and hit ENTER. It will search and display on the right hand window, anything & every thing to do with Symantec. But here you will ALSO have to see what folder is opene on the left hand window. IF the folder opened is pertaining only to the key value shown on the right then just delete the entire folder in the left window ELSE delete only the line that has "Symantec" mentiond in its key value string on the right side window. Now hit F3 again and follow the above step till everything related to Symantec is removed completely from the registry. You will konw this when a message window will appear stating, "Finished searching Registry".
Now collapse the entire Left side folder hierarchy to its basic form and hit F3 again and in the dialogue box type Norton & hit ENTER. Now do exactly what you did to remove Symantec entries form the registry. After having done that, restart your machine and see if your problem has been solved.

If you are still stuck, then you need to repair your Operating System. (Repair... NOT format & reinstall)

Will not run

the better choice you have is uninstalling it and reinstalling it again.
you may have a corrpted program file, or corrupted program info in registry.

both impossible to track manually, then i advise you to full reinstall it.

I had the same issue and uninstalled it, cleaned up the registry, re-installed it numerous times and still nothing. Then I changed the compatibility for the .exe to Windows 98/Windows Me even though I am running XP and it started up.
