You need to install the drivers for your motherboard, for this issue it's the graphics driver. check on the laptop manufacturers website to identify and download the driver.

Computer screen jumps while scrolling up and down

This could be due to incorrect mouse settings. It may also be an issue with smooth scrolling in Windows. You can try both disabling and enabling smooth scrolling to see setting performs better.

Scrolling button on touchpad not working?

SCROLL PAD SOLUTION THAT WORKED FOR ME!!!

Well what I did was I went to CONTROL PANEL, went to the HARDWARE AND DEVICES, went to the DEVICE MANAGER which has a list of Devices. I found the MOUSE DEVICE on the list, right clicked it went to PROPERTIES go to the DRIVER TAB, and then click on ROLL BACK DRIVER. Restart your computer. and then repeat everything again. CONTROL PANEL>DEVICES>MOUSE>PROPERTIES>DRIVER TAB when u get back to the driver tab of your mouse device. click on UPDATE DRIVER. It will then find the driver automatically reinstall it for you and then restart your computer. HOPE this fixes your scroll pad. It did for me.

VIDEO ACCELERATOR NOT DETECTED

Sounds very much like a video driver issue. Most likely from the aspect that the video driver MAY not have compatibility with your reinstalled o/s. Look for the video driver option, under system then hardware configuration. You MAY need to remove that video from the list, then have the Plug and Play reinstall it. The driver is perhaps on the accessories disk you should have with your Dell.

Slow scrolling and pages overlapping.

You need the appropriate drivers for your graphics card. The problem is not the monitor. It is that the window default driver for your graphics card is not driving the card to it's full potential, therefore screen updates are much slower than they could be with the drivers that suit your card..
cheers,
dave.
