K they're thinking its, a cpu causing the flicker, if they're saying to upgrade the bios. It may either be a bad video card or the monitor is going out.

I know some methods to reset bios password.

1. The best and easiest method: Close OS and shut down the electricity power of computer. Open your computer box, take out the cmos battery from the mainboard. Then the bios password will be reset to blank. Put it back after a few minutes.

2. Follow some tutorials. For example the tutorials:
Reset HP / Dell BIOS Password. http://findpassword.net/reset-hp-dell-bios-password/

Top 3 methods to crack bios password!

3. Use the bios password recovery tool , but that is not free!

So I would suggest you the 1st method. Hope it helps.

First, altering the BIOS or the system registry is like taking a stroll in a minsfield, nothing good usually come form it. Second, What is running in background that will slow down the system. Disable all processes that are not needed at startup of computer. Also you can open "Task Manager" and end processes that are not needed, for instance "Windows Search" it's a memory hog. I have no idea what is running in background on youd laptop. If you have a program, if not, CCLEANER FREE found here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ Install and use often there are useful TOOLS such as STARTUP where you can disable startup programs that will speed up your laptop. Just got my laptop reformatted today lost my acer cd cant use my acer bio protection and my webcam need help!!!
go online www.acer.com then choose make, model,and country and all the drivers will be there, you can download them free.

Sounds to me like your battery is not putting out the correct voltage and the screen is fluctuating with the voltage difference.

Slow graphics in gaming
Hi
Please make sure the video card driver is updated and also the Bios.

Make sure the ac adapter is connected to the system while you are doing the bios update.

Also please post the system requirements for your games so that I could check whether this laptop will be able to run these games.
Also would like to know do u have an integrated video card or a discrete video card. This is very important when you are trying to play games.

Acer aspire 4530 web cam is not functioning how can i resolve this problem OS--Windows XP
The problem is actually due to the tight webcam cabling
It runs under the keyboard up to the LCD
To resolve it open up the front panel and make the Cable less taut and tighten all connections
