This problem could be a flat BIOS battery.
Replace the BIOS battery and then go to the BIOS configuration and set the Date and time etc.

    YES,
When you boot up the laptop and change the Date and Time, the computer will keep the correct time until it is powered off. The good BIOS battery keeps the RTC (real time clock) and the BIOS settings from being lost. A flat BIOS battery erase the BIOS settings.

Closed and shut down my Toshiba Satellite® M105-S3041 PC Notebook, now the power comes on, the fan turns on, the cd-rom begins to boot...then nothing else happens screen stays blank. I have...

I think you should replace it. But if you can't or don't want to you don't have to. I think it haves a power reverse in it and it got hit or damaged from electricity. That could make your computer send files and things like that. It can send them to you, The internet, and even on a near by computers screen. try repair.

Where do I add memory to my Toshiba Satellite M105-S3041

There is a panel on the bottom of your laptop, with a Philips screw head andv the number "4" in a circle. Remove this screw, and the panel. Under this panel is the memory module(s), and they will take up to 1GB per module.

Toshiba Satellite M105-S3041 clock problem

Chances are your CMOS battery is dead, it can be replaced inexpensively if you do it yourself. After taking the laptop apart, locate the battery, it looks like a large watch battery. When you remove it, note the battery type and run to your nearest battery store for a replacement.

Looking for the New battery

There are really only two things to do. First, look into a replacement battery. A search on Google of "Satellite m105 battery" usually yields one or two sources of after-market batteries for around $50.

The second is only if your battery is a NiMH (nickel metal hydride) battery. In that case, you can create a power profile in the power or toshiba controls control panels where the computer does not go into hibernation or sleep. Go into the bios and make sure that the computer will not shut down on low power, and you may want to turn off the low power alarm. Then, making sure the computer is not plugged into the AC adapter, let it run until it actually shuts down from draining the battery. Then, don't leave it that way, get it back to a full charge. From then on, if you are working with the computer plugged into AC power from a wall socket, take the battery out.

A good source of info, though it's mainly about NiCd batteries, is: http://www.batteryuniversity.com/
