press and hold menu
reconnect power cord
power up the printer
when all lights are flashing, release the menu button
press start black until PURGE:xxxx appears on the screen
if the number after purge is greater than 6000, type CRUD (2 then 7 then 8 then 3)
it should now read purge:0000
restart the printer.
If this works, you will need to purchase an ink purge kit, or you risk the purge tank overflowing eventually.
