I would start looking at parts express for the connectors. their web site is www.partsexpress.com if they don't have them then go to allied electronics www.alliedelec.com my third choice would be mouser web site, www.mouser.com
These are the main three I use for parts. 95% of the time I can find what I need from one of these. A forth and who does carry odd parts and discontinued parts is mat electronics. Not sure of the web site anymore but a google search will find them.
as far as the best antenna, I would need to know if we are talking FM(I am guessing it is) AM or what. and then I need to know a brief desc. of where you have the stereo (near a window, wall or where) and aprox of how far you are trying to pick up.

Hope this helps....

Connect JVC MX-GT88 speakers to a differant reciever

If it has a bi-amp, you can connect the speakers to it. By the amplifier, if it's a stereo with bi-amp, be sure that it has at least 400 watts and up in order for the speakers to turn out great, if a receiver like a integrated amplifier, it may have like 2-10 connections, you can connect the speakers all together if it has more than 3 connections, if below 3, you may need to take the speakers apart and make it 3 way by connecting one wire to the tweeter, another wire from the tweeter to the main or mid speaker then one more wire from the main or mid speaker to the sub.

My Panasonic sa-ak770 will not come out of standby mode

Check to make sure there are no shorts in the speaker wiring, if okay remove speaker wires from back, press power if it comes out of standby the wires or speakers are the problem, if there is no change the protection circuit is not functioning or the audio output ic's have a short.

I have an older JVC Shelf Unit with the main control unit in the middle and a left and right side speaker that contains a built in subwoofer on each side, lately the Speaker cuts in and out at higher...

It's one of three things things:
First, examine where the speaker wires are plugged into the receiver. Are any of the copper strands touching one another? If so, remove the excess stripped wire and reinsert it. Problem solved.

Test two: bad speaker. to test, swap the speakers (hook the right speaker to the left speaker jacks and the left speaker to the right speaker jacks). If the RIGHT side now cuts out, you have bad speakers.

If the speaker on the LEFT jacks still cuts out, your amplifier is going bad (which could cost between $50-$200 to repair).

The speaker cables has "banana

If they're a fixed spacing that doesn't match the spacing of the black and red speaker terminals you'll need to either chop them off and replace them with individual tips or just wrap the twisted bare wire ends around the base of each post and crank 'em down. Make sure no strands are touching anything but the intended post.

PROTECT AND PUSH POWER IN THE VISOR.NO SOUND,NO NOTHING WHAT CAN I DO?

This happens when the speaker wires are not connected properly. Remove all speaker wires from the back of the unit, and re - install them, in the correct order and with the correct polarity (white stripe on wire to red terminal, no stripe to black terminal)
Hope this helps.

I want to know where the wires from the speakers go into the main system. I don't have a manual

First connect the right speaker. The wire with the plug goes into the terminal labeled SPEAKERS HIGH FREQ R. The speaker cord with the white stripe goes into the SPEAKERS LOW FREQ R + terminal and the black cord goes into the - terminal. Connect the left speaker in the same manner but to the terminals labeled L. These are at the bottom of the connector block (Jacks labeled R on the left as you look at the back of the unit).

I hope this helps.

(You may be able to get the manual from aiwa.com but right now I can't get the page to load.)
