There is a small door on the right bottom edge & IIRC the right knob
can be pushed in & it springs out (I think) & can be turned left or
right to adjust the pressure. Then push it back in again.
Let me know if this works for you as i have other instructions depending on the machine.

    here are all the instructions for all the fisher paykel machines.
    Fisher & Paykel HC 234: Enter programming mode by holding down the "Ramp" (top) button and the "Next" (Right arrow/bottom button) for three seconds. When you get into the pressure set mode you will first be able to set adjust altitude, which is indicated by a drawing of a mountain range on your screen. You can change or ignore this setting and then push the "Next" (Right arrow/bottom button) to advance to pressure setting which will be indicated by the characters "cm h20 " on the screen. Use the Up and Down keys to change the pressure setting. Lastly, push the bottom button again to exit programming mode.

    Fisher & Paykel HC 220 & 220LE: On the side of the machine where the power switch is, you should be able to see a litt small cut-out shape like a square, or hidden door. Simply push and pull down and it should slide off, under that there is a black dial that you turn up or down to change the pressure. (note: the right dial, not the left). Right in front of the adjuster knob is an LCD window that will give you the current pressure setting.

    Fisher & Paykel ICON Auto, Premo & Novo: Move the SmartDial to the user Preferences position (tool wrench icon). Hold down the SmartDial button with your thumb until you hear the 'tick tock' sound. Do NOT release the middle button yet. While holding down the button, use your other hand to rotate the dial 380 degrees clockwise until you are back at the top (12 o'clock position). Rotate the dial one pitch counter-clockwise back to the tool wrench icon, release the middle button and you be in the Clinician Menu with additional options appearing on the left quarter of the screen.

    I hope this is helpful and a vote of confidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

There seem to be a lot of different types of CPAP breathing machines for snoring and sleep apnea. Can anyone tell me the difference between them?

if you need to use a CPAP machine, then your specialist should tell you what kind of machine you need for your specific case. But watch this video on youtube from the CPAP website. It gives a basic overview about the different types of machines available;

Hope that helps you!

I am supposed to start using a CPAP machine to help with my snoring etc but I am so shocked by the price of them. Is there any way that you can rent the machines? I live in the UK

CPAP machines are a really big financial investment and some people find that they just can't get used to using them. That's why renting is a really good idea as it allows you to take you time to get used to it without feeling the financial pressure of having bought one.

The British snoring site have an option to rent - take a look;

How do you know which CPAP snoring masks are best for you?

FOR ME I HAD TO HAVE A SLEEP STUDY DONE. IT IS A 2 DAY PROCESS. THEY HOOK UP ALL SORTS OF PROBS ON YOU AND MONITOR YOUR BREATHING. THE TEST WILL SHOW HOW MANY TIMES YOU STOP BREATHING. THEN YOU GO IN ON ANOTHER DAY AND THEY TRY DIFFERENT MASK DURING THE STUDY. ONCE YOU GET ACCUSTOM TO IT THEY MONITOR YOUR SLEEP AGAIN. THIS TIME, IF IT WORKS, YOU SLEEP THE REST OF THE NIGHT. FOR ME IT WAS WORTH IT.

What is CPAP? I know it's something to do with sleeping and snoring.

CPAP stands for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure. It involves wearing a pressurized mask over your face while you sleep at night to help force air through the airways.

CPAP is used to treat sleep apnea and heavy snoring but the machine is very noisy and it's not comfortable to sleep with, so it's worth trying other solutions before turning to CPAP for help.

My 3 yr old Respironics CPAP has stopped putting out the pressure it is supposed to. Still works and still show 12.5 Lb - but is 1/2 as strong - maybe less.

if have pressure gauge u can check that if your using a manual machine the pressure will be constant as the set pressure is 12.5 and there will be ramp which will start with lower pressure and reach to 12.5 as per the set timings and if you are using a automatic mcahine no need to worry.
