What type of connection does the camera use, serial or USB?
Does the device activate the plug'n'play interrupt and get recognized by the operating system?
What operating system are you useing?
Can you see any files on the camera?
If it is serial, did you remember to shut down before connecting?
This is not necessary with USB, but you do have to turn the camera on after connecting.
If this is windows and you are running XP, it should automatically show an additional icon on the lower right task bar, for the camera.
If not, the cable could be bad.

Problem transferring photos to the PC

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com )

Memory Card is saying no image file when i put it into camera

Copy all the photos from the card onto your computer if you haven't already done so. Put the card into the camera and format it. From now on, format the card each time you finish downloading pictures to the computer instead of simply erasing the pictures you don't want.
Repeated shooting and erasing will inevitably lead to this problem. Formatting prevents it.

I use pl70. i am having problem downloading my pictures. when i connect my camera to my computer i do not see my pictures, i have even tried inserting the memory card directly to my computer and i still...

1) Using new memory card. first connecting memory card to computer and format. and insert memory card to camera. making single shot. then connecting computer you see picture.
Memory card formating in camera may be not working computer or other device.

I didnt have my memory card in camera when i took the pictures how can i transfer pictures to memory card now?

I don't know if there is a function to do this on your camera, but on the cameras I am familiar with, there is not.

However, if what you want to accomplish is to get your pictures from internal memory into your computer, there is a way. Simply remove the memory card from your camera before connecting the camera to your computer with a USB lead. The computer will then see the camera's internal memory instead of the card memory, and you can copy the pictures over.

If you have been accessing your pictures by removing the card from the camera and placing it in a card reader attached to your computer, then this won't work for pictures in the internal memory. You will need to use the other method, connecting the camera to the computer with the USB lead.

How do I print photos that are on my camera and not on my memory card?

By print I expect you mean copy the pictures to your computer and print from there?

The way it works with my camera (not a Samsung) is when I connect it to the computer with a memory card in the camera, the computer sees the contents of the memory card only, but when I connect it with NO memory card in the camera, the computer sees the contents of the camera's internal memory.

Try removing the memory card from the camera, then connect the camera to the computer (or printer if it will do that).

If you are accessing pictures by taking the memory card out of the camera and putting it into a card reader attached to the computer, then I don't know any way to get the camera memory into the card memory. If your camera has such a function, it ought to be in the manual, but I have not seen this function on other cameras.

I have a samsung es15 camera with an sd card in it. i have taken pictures with the camera, was able to review the pictures on the camera, have now connected the lead to the camera to take off the photos...

Sounds like a driver issue. A quick fix, get a card reader, take the card out and download to your computer, then reformat the card or get a new card. and then re-install the drivers to you computer.
