First of all, here is the direct link to the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for that model:

http://books.jvc.com/Download/896712413/LCT0566-001A-A.pdf

To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents. You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary. Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, and then just follow the onscreen instructions to install it.

See page 26 of the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for detailed instructions on how to set the DISPLAY function to stop displaying the time. Basically it says to press the DISPLAY button until the onscreen text reads OFF. Then just leave it alone and the text and clock should disappear shortly on its own.

Please comment back here to this page if you have any questions, have difficulty accessing the links, or just require further general assistance and I will respond as soon as I see it.

Thank you very much and good luck.

Somehow the clock is displaying 24 hour time format. I want to get back to 12 hour format. How?

Push the mode button twice to enter the "set time" mode. Once the digital display is blinking, keep pushing "mode" until the PM display section in the upper left corner comes on. Once that happens you are back to the 12 hour clock. To set the clock, use the 1-4 buttons to set the hours and minutes.

Hope this helps.
