Having the EXACT same problem with my P5NE-SLI, have tried the standard fixes with no luck, removing and reinstalling the video card and RAM trying a single stick of RAM in different slots, etc. and it's still doing it. I have Kingston Hyper X RAM that is on the Asus approved list and a Ge-Force 8500 GT graphics card with a Pentium Dual Core E2200 CPU. This is a replacement board, the first one wouldn't do anything at all so I RMA'd it.

I've had this MB since April 2007 and it's worked perfectly. About 7 weeks ago (Oct. 2008) it stopped booting up. No display, hard drive LED stays lit (with/without drives connected) and 1 long beep followed by 3 short ones. It was on when I restarted it just because it was on all night (I like a fresh restart in the morning) but it never came back on. I haven't had any problems with this MB because all the same parts that are in this box (MB, RAM, HD, Video) or had (DVD-+R) were working for the past year.

    Hardware:
    P5N-E SLI
    Intel Core 2 Duo E6420
    A-Data 2x1GB 800 DDR2
    EVGA 8600GTS 256
    Sony DRU-710A
    Western Digital WD2500 SATA

I've tried the fixes in the manual and the ASUS support site (BIOS reset, battery replacement, RAM, expansions out) and no fix.

Hello, I will try to explain my problem as clear, however, as short as I can. I am building a machine off the P55V Sli motherboard (1156). Case mounted the board proberly, S-ATA's had a few issues...

there must be a video card in the first pci x *usually running x16* and the 2nd usually runs at x4. the motherboard will not post at all if there is a card in the 2nd slot but not the first (hence the beeps) you can buy right angle adapters for sata connectors if that helps and makes sense?

Post the page numbers you're having trouble understanding. There is a bit of connecting wiring on the board. Slim it down for me.

Thanks

remove the memory and gently clean it very well and then connect it back to motherboard. if got long beep then memory damage.(replace memory) if got tree short beeps, clean the video card and connect it after cleaning if got same beeps ( then replace video card) thats only only things. Good luck.
