Hi There and Welcome to Fixya.

The "F 10" error code was caused by runaway temperature. Setting technicalities aside, the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) is defective and needs replacement in order to avoid this error from coming back again. If the part is not replaced, then it may lead to more serious electronic problems.

When replacing the EOC, you will deal with numerous resistors, capacitors and diodes et al. So if you're not comfortable with your technical/electronic skills, then I am highly recommending for you to contact a local service technician trained/certified in fixing electronic appliances.

Hope this helps, and Thank you for using FixYa.

you do not say it is electric oven. if so broil element requires 240 vac. may be controlled by relay. Is bake element working? also controls for broil may be different setting if digital panel is in this design. I think same sensor may be used for bake or broil.

you do not say if gas oven, electric oven, single or double oven or if digital panel control, a little more information would help.

if you have digial voltmeter, FULLY disconnect electric power and measure element on terminals. probably less than 15-20 ohms for a good element.

AEG single oven - clock runs for 12 hrs , buzzes and goes back to 12 o'clock - if set timer and check time remaining, it buzzes and jumps to clock setting loosing time remaining. Buzzer sounds ''hoarse''.

you must setting the count down timer instead of time of day. to set time of day. press centre button 4 times lamp flashes in bottom righthand of display. use + and - to get correct time after 10 secs time will lock in. to check you have not set count down press centre button 3 times lamp flashes top right corner of display if not at 0000 use - button to get to 0000 leave 10 secs then should revert to time of day. also check you have not entered cooking time. press centre 1x this also should read 0000. hope this helps

Volume control candy oven timer

Switch off the oven, leave for 5 seconds and switch it back on.
Candy Customer Services asked for over £100 to have an engineer sent to my house, which I refuse as I thought the oiven was good.
I had to switch off all the electricity in the kitchen but after this 'reset' the oven turned to the normal 'high' volume.

automatically set HI Broil).
lb. While the set indicator is flashing
in the display, press the BROIL

HI. an F-2 during a baking cycle is the result of an out of control oven temp that has reached Temperatures above 615F-630F

If this actual over temperature condition occurred, Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC).

If no over temperature condition occurred, Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace sensor if found defective.

Remember: Oven control (ERC) measures resistance of sensor circuit , not actual oven temperature.
