I have a Samsung Home Theater HT-Q45T, no codes found that will work. I've tried scaning for codes as per the instructions in the help guide, all it managed to do is turn the TV off and on and the Cable box off and on during the scaning. Don't bother calling Comcast, they will direct you to the remote codes located online or in the manual.

Keywords: Comcast, Samsung, HT-q45T, remote, codes, program, search

I have the same problem. The Comcast DVR 3 Remote does not work with the Sony Bravia
DAV-HDX576WF either. I researched the remote manufacturer's website
http://www.urcsupport.com, then click on the Comcast logo), and tried
all the suggested codes (they are exactly the same as in the remote's
paper manual that Comcast provides). I believe that Sony has issued a
new code that this remote does not have installed.

It seems like most (maybe all) Sony HTIB do not work with the Comcast Custom Remote. I've found a work around that fixes the volume control and power button though. Hope it helps you all. I have a DAVHDX275 but I think this will work for most Sony HTIB systems.

What you need to do is steal some codes from a like product and then hardcode in the changes you need to the comcast remote. Set your AUX to 21232 (a sony code for TV/VCRs).

Then do the following:

1. While still on AUX, press and hold SETUP again until the remote blinks twice
2. Type 994
3. Press and release SETUP
4. Type 32975
5. Press and release VOL+
The remote should blink twice. That should reprogram the VOL+ to work with your Sony HT device. For each of the following function codes, follow the same steps and use the codes listed below:
Vol+ = 32975
Vol- = 31951
Power = 32719

Good luck. Let me know if it works.

I have programmed my Sony HTIB as described above by RMGILLSP. I only wish I had a mute code. Is this also available?

Also, to program your remote to function volume controls while in CBL or TV mode without switching between modes to change the volume, see below. Source http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8831Quote:Locking Volume Control To TV or AUX Mode:
1. Press and hold SETUP until the Red light flashes twice, then release SETUP.
2. Enter 9 - 9 - 3 (Red light will flash twice).
3. Press and release either TV or AUX (Red light for selected device will flash twice).

No sound from TV thru sony bravia hdx576wf; DVD & CD audio ok.

Could be a sync calibration issue. Try to divert the TV sound to another input source on the Hometheatre system if possible, if it is a go then maybe the TV audio needs to be recalibrated. Make sure TV audio setup menu option has not changed also.
