What yall have here is a clogged pump filter. I would find the pup filter and give it a good clean out.

No spin cycle

Suspect there is heavy load in the spin cycle which makes it trip off. You need to check the free movement of the drum and also the motor.

STYLEMATER 4214164, AGITATOR SEAMS TO BE STUCK,

are you sure it's aggitating?common problem with direct drive washers is the motor coupling breaks and the transmission can't engage with the motor or you could have a bad transmission.usually you'll find oil leaking out of the ******. you can check this and the coupling at the same time.one other thing, when in spin open the lid and then close it and listen for a clunk and see if it spins, that would be the clutch on the ******.if this happens see if you can get it to spin in any other cycles,i've had bad timers do this,if it spins near rinse but not in the final spin and if you open the lid, close the lid and then the clutch falls and it does spin i'd say you have a bad timer, you can watch the timer,if it moves all the way to end but it doesn't spin in the same spot on the final spin but does spin in any other cycle it's the timer.but check the coupling first.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9K1KHEogf3c copy and paste,it will show you how to get at the coupling.

In the permanent press cycle only the spin cycle isn't spinning enough. Clothes are extremely wet must run another spin to get out the water.

Thts right....the permanent press cycle my only spin at 600rpm because the clothes would be creased otherwise. Hence the PP cycle.
Some machines lock the PP cycle to low spin RPM. Some allow you to over ride this setting. Check your machine and have a play with the controls. Some PP clothing should even be drip dry to retain the premanent press in the garment. If you want PP then low spin is needed. fast spin will not be a PP cycle...

My all in one washer dryer by kenmore is direct drive. the spin rinse spin functions work on all three cycles ie. delicate, permanent press and regular. the fill and agitate functions at the beginning of...

can you get it to start by moving the timer one more click past the beginning of the cycle? Sometimes that is all that is wrong. Other than that, it's more than likely the timer has fused some of the points together and you will need a new timer in that case

Wash doesn't go through full cycle

I have a Maytag model A490 clothes washer. It works fine up to the rinse cycle and then shuts down. When it reaches this point it has become necessary to manually advance the dial a short ways whereupon it will fill with water and complete the rinse and spin cycles. This happens on both the regular and the permanent press cycles. What needs to be done to fix this problem?

Aggitator won't work and won't spin/ drains ok

Coupling is bad.
There is a coupling between the motor and the transmission. When this part breaks then it will pump the water out but won't spin or aggitate.

Washer won't move into spin phase on the Regular Cycle setting.

Have you checked the lid switch??? This will prevent it from spinning look on the lid you will see a plunger.. watch where it goes down to you can use a pen to press the sw while the lid is up to see if it is working ...PS: dont forget to set it into the spin cycle first..let me know what happens
