Doesnt warm most likely to one of four parts being at fault the hi limit thermistor the low limit or safety thermistor some units also have a start relay or the heater all these pieces can be checked for faults by doing continuity tests on them using a multimeter this link is also the entire parts diagram for your machine should show you how to take it apart and which pieces im refering to for you to test ooook skip half of doing that thought you had an electric instead you would first test the ignitor should be drawing between 3-3.3 amps if this is any less then replace it less would constitute a weak ingitor and would be why the gas is not lighting following this you would test the coils to assure that you are getting voltage to the coils if you click this link here it will show your burner assembly part number 4 is the ingitor 13, 14 would be the two coils that i had mentioned earlier if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to help others in similar situations Thanks Rick

Kenmore Gas Dryer does not dry clothes.

If this is the electric version then after 15 years you probably need a new heating element, they are not difficult to install and are not terribly expensive as a DIY project.

Tumbles but does not dry

When you put your wet cloths in the dryer close the door. You should then turn on the dry cycle you wish, not the fluff option as there will be only air and gas dryer will not heat the cloths. Wait 30 ~ seconds after the dryer is turned on and listen for the gas to ignite and begin warming and drying the cloths. If you hear no bump sound like the ignition of the gas, then you have an ignition issue. It will require replacing the ignitor. All the best and good luck. Hope this helped.

Clothes get warm but stay wet and do not fully

You need to check the venting. Take the vent hose off the back of the dryer and try drying a load with it off and see if it will fully dry. If so, clean the vent hose.

Amana Gas CLothes Dryer Mod#NDG7800AWW dryer will heat and does dry some but when it moves to the less dry the dial does not move and the dryer does not heat

if your clothes are damp because you say it does dry some what then it sounds like it could be the gas coils, the coils will work for awhile but then they fail and the timer will not move if there is no heat on the more or less

Dryer not heating as it should. Gets warm, but takes several cycles to dry clothes

Could be 2 things... either your heat source is out of repair or your vent is blocked. Since you say it only gets warm I'll assume the problem is with the gas coils inside the unit. These parts are replaceable

Gas dryer runs, cleaned hose, get warm does not heat up to dry

with a gas dryer in which your assured te hventing is free and clear of any obstructions, i would look to replace the coil pack located atop the gas valve itself, probably about $25 part number 279834... 2 coils simply mount atop the valvle
